Chapter 23 ~ It's over...

Genesis P.O.V

I cleared my throat nervously. I looked up at Dana and bit my lip slowly pulling away from our stance. I smiled slightly

"Thank you" I said with a nod. He smiled down at me. 

"Anything for you Gen" He said rubbing my cheek soothingly. I blushed looking down. Why did he have to be with Nicole...I took a shaky breath shutting my eyes tightly. 

"Hey, you okay?" He asked putting his finger under my chin and making me look up at him. I nodded smiling. A fake smile of course. 

"Just a little...overwhelmed" I said with a nod. He smiled slightly pulling me in for a hug. I sighed breathing in his scent. Soon the dance floor was full of people slow dancing. I looked up to find Dana staring down at me. I smiled slightly wrapping my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist. 

"Two slow dances in one night...must be my lucky day" He mumbled. I giggled

"You are such a dork" I said shaking my head, looking down a bit.

"Well yeah I may be a dork"  He said with a shrug. "But that's fine if...if I'm your dork" He added making me look up at him with wide eyes. He chuckled, probably cause he noticed me blushing

"I'm still amazed at how charming you can be at times" I mumbled. He chuckled letting my waist go so he could spin me. I spun around landing backwards into his arms. He rested his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist resting them on my stomach..and man...I was a blushing mess!

"Dana" I giggled. I could tell he was smiling. I turned my face to glance up at him. He was already staring down at me. Which made me realize how close our faces were. I felt my heart beat faster and faster. I bit my lip nervously. He smiled slightly leaning down and kissing my forehead gently before spinning me around once more as the song ended. 

"Gen!!" I heard someone shout. I turned around to see Sarah running towards me with the guys. I furrowed my eyebrows. What's up with them?!

"C'mon!!" She said grabbing mine and Dana's hand. 

"Sarah what's going on?!" I asked beyond confused. She rolled her eyes

"Can't you hear the song that's playing?!" She said shaking her head. I then realized that it was cupid shuffle

"Ugh I hate this song!" I groaned as she pulled us to the group of people that were all dancing to the song. Dana laughed interlocking his arm with mine

"C'mon Gen! What's a party without the cupid shuffle?!" He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes. He knew how much I hated this song. Despite how much I really didn't want to dance I still danced with everyone. And surprisingly enough it was slightly fun. 

"Gen you're supposed to go to the left!" Dalton groaned as I bumped into him. I giggled trying to catch up with everyone else. Of course I couldn't catch up in time and ended up bumping into Dalton again. This time I bounced back slightly and ended up pushing Dana to the floor. Since our arms were interlocked he ended up pulling me down with him and I landed on top of him. 

We were both laughing at the top of our lungs, and for once I didn't really care that I had snorted. I was still in fits of laughter when I felt someone rub my cheek softly. I looked down at Dana who was staring up at me intently. 

Dana P.O.V

I looked up at Genesis who was in fits of laughter from us falling. I just loved seeing her like this...seeing her happy. I haven't seen her this happy recently and I'm so glad she's smiling like she used to. I couldn't help myself and reached up stroking her cheek gently. She stopped laughing looking down at me.
