Chapter 13 ~ Please Hold Me

Genesis P.O.V

I could hear the music blaring from downstairs. I sighed looking at my outfit one last time

I wasn't necessarily dressed for a party but I was comfortable so it didn't matter. I grabbed my phone off the night stand sliding it into the back pocket of my jeans. I slowly made my way downstairs. Sarah decided to throw us a party seeing as we were leaving tomorrow. I made it downstairs and looked around, there were people EVERYWHERE! I walked through the huge crowed trying to find Sarah or one of the guys, more importantly I was trying to find Dana! I checked pretty much the whole house and still couldn't find him. I groaned making my way to the kitchen.There were people sitting on the counter playing stupid drinking games. I rolled my eyes grabbing a soda can from one of the coolers and leaning against the wall. Where the hell is everyone?!

"Gen!!" I heard someone call my name. My head shot up

"Oh no..." I mumbled. I turned around to see Jake walking over to me. What the hell was he doing here?!

"Hey!" He said hugging me. I hugged him back awkwardly

"J-Jake" I mumbled as we let go. He smiled eyeing me up and down. 

"Same old Gen..wearing her sweaters and beanies!" He said smiling. I bit my lip looking down

"yup" I mumbled. Where the hell are my friends when I need them?!

"How have you been?! I was bummed I couldn't really talk to you that day at the restaurant" He said frowning

"I-I've been good" I said with a nod. He smiled

"I can't believe your actually living your dream! You used to always talk about how bad you wanted to sing for a living...and look at you now!" He said smiling. What the hell is he trying to pull?!

"Y-yeah....funny how things work" I said taking a sip of my soda.

"I've really missed you" He said making me choke on my soda. I stared at him with wide eyes

"W-what?" I asked confused. He ran his fingers through his dirty blonde hair smiling slightly

"I-I've actually been meaning to talk to you for a while now..." He said. I nearly dropped my soda at that point. What the hell is going on?!

"You what?" I asked shaking my head. He chuckled

"I miss you Gen...." He said grabbing my hand. "A lot" He added. I was hyperventilating now.

"Can we go somewhere more....private to talk?.." He said raising his eyebrows. I gulped. No way in hell was I going anywhere secluded with this jerk

"M-maybe that's not such a good idea" I said nervously. He furrowed his eyebrows 

"C'mon Gen...." He said pouting "I promise it'll only take a second" He added. I groaned looking down. 

"W-we can go out front" I mumbled. He smiled nodding. We made our way to the front and I was happy that there were a couple people out here and that it wasn't just Jake and I. We walked over to where all the cars were parked. I leaned on one of them as Jake stood in front of me

"S-so...what'd you wanna talk to me about?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest. He bit his lip 

"Its just...I hate how things ended between the two of us" He said with a frown. I furrowed my eyebrows. Was he being serious?!

"Jake you hurt me!" I mumbled looking down

"I know...and I feel terrible about it!!" He said reaching out to grab my hand. I had the urge to pull my hand away but he was gripping my hand so tight that I couldn't. "There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you!" He added. I rolled my eyes
