All of the boys insisted on coming with me. It was like they thought they couldn't let me out of their site for more than an hour without me getting hurt. When I turned to Niall to try and convince the others to let me go out by myself, he agreed with them.
"We're ready to go!" Liam shouted.
I sighed and pushed myself off the bed. "Coming!"
Four of them where at the door, dressed in hats and glasses and zipped up to the neck in hoodies. Zayn was the only one who wasn't there, but I heard him coming from the other room. He, like all the other boys was covered from head to toe, so no one would recognize them.
"If you don't want to be seen, why are you even coming out with me?" I asked, tugging on my sweater. "I could be there in back within the next hour."
Louis shot me a grin. "You would be lost without us."
I scoffed. "I've lived in city for a few years, you've lived in England for your entire life. Who do you think would be able to find their way around better?"
None of them had anything to say about that, because it was true. They had just kept the smile on their faces and walked out the door, expecting me to follow them. When it was just me and the Harry, who was waiting for me at the door, I sighed and followed them out.
"How are we all going to fit in one vehicle?" I asked, looking at the van that looked like it could only hold six people comfortably.
Liam smiled. "We're going to have to squeeze."
I nodded and waited for all of them to pile into the car until I squeezed into a spot next to Zayn. He was a kind of skinny person in the first place, so it wasn't that much of a pinch. He and the other boys were being extremely careful of me though, trying not to bump me in any way, like I would break.
It was sweet though. Only after knowing me a day and meting me under kind of odd situation where I was almost positive all of them hated me, they were all protecting me and the baby. I knew they would be helpful when I got further along in my pregnancy.
Harry was driving as he was one of the few people with a license in the car. "Where did you say we were going again?" He asked, looking at me through the mirror.
I huffed. "We're going to a little cafè on the other end of the city. No one really goes there, so it probably wont be a big deal of people seeing you."
"Where is it?" He asked. I could see his eyes roll in the mirror as he was annoyed that I wasn't really telling him where it was, just jumping around the question.
"You should let me drive." I told him. "I can get there in ten minutes. I've been there hundreds of times with Em."
"You can just tell me where it is." He said.
I rolled my eyes at him, making him aware that I was annoyed. "I can drive and get there in ten minutes. You're driving in the opposite direction."
Liam set a hand on my shoulder from the back seat. "Maybe you shouldn't be driving right now."
I tensed my shoulders, trying not to blow up on him. "You are not going to be one of those people who think pregnant women cant do anything, are you?"
"You should be careful. I don't want you to get hurt." His voice was caring, but I was really angry for some reason.
"Just let her drive, we'll be there faster." Niall's voice came from the back with Liam. I was glad that he had actually defended me this time. If he had defended me before we even got in the car, I wouldn't be in this mess.
