Liam ran inside so they could go and get me a wheelchair to bring me inside. I was waiting in the car, cracking my knuckles from being so nervous. I had no idea whether or not this would turn out okay, but I knew that Liam wanted me to pull out, so I would try.
He was on his way back to the car with a nurse next to him, pushing the wheelchair along. He opened the car door and gave me a bright smile, but I saw right through it. The whole thing was him just trying to keep me calm, but I knew that he was freaking out on the inside.
"Let's go." He smiled.
I nodded. "Help me."
He pecked a little kiss on my forehead helped me out of the car. It was a lot easier to get in than to get out, weirdly enough. Liam, being the muscly guy he is, barely even had to strain when he picked me up and put me right into the wheelchair. He was already so much bigger than me, so it wasn't hard at all.
"Okay, we're just going to bring you right upstairs." The nurse said.
I smiled at her. "Thank you."
She rested a hand on my shoulder and it was strangely soothing considering she was a complete stranger. "Just stay calm, our doctors are some of the best in the country. You're in great hands."
I took a deep breath and thanked her again.
The nurse left us when we got to the elevator, telling us to got to the top floor. I wanted her to stay, but I had Liam to help me. Liam was fully capable off taking care of me and has proved it to me over the past couple of months. He and I could get through this if we did it together.
"Just stay calm." He whispered. I wasn't sure if he was reassuring himself, or me, but it was doing nothing to help how nervous I was. I was just a complete ball of nerves and I felt like nothing could make me calm, not even Liam.
"You're going to do great." He whispered.
I shook my head. "Something is going to go wrong."
"I'll be there with you." He massaged my shoulders from me behind me.
I set on of my hands over his and looked up at him. "I don't think I'm ready for this."
He leaned down and pecked my lips from where he stood behind me. "Don't freak out, your water hasn't even broken yet."
"But, it has to happen eventually. And when it does, something bad is going to happen." I bit my lip.
The elevator dinged open and Liam slowly pushed me out. There was a giant pool of people waiting out there, their loved ones giving birth. They all looked up at us when we walked in, making a stab of fear flash through me. Having people recognize Liam right would not make the situation better.
To my demis, there were more than one teenage girls their. It seemed like it took them a few seconds for them to figure out who it was, but when they did, they stated to freak out. They jumped up, their iPhones in their hands and ran towards us.
"Woah, woah, slow down." A nurse walked up, holding her hands in there air between us, like they were trying to protect us. "What is going on here?"
One of the girls had a smile on her face, looking like she could explode from the excitement of seeing her idol. "That's Liam Payne!" She all but screamed.
"And are you related to either of these two in any way?" She asked the three girls with a impatient look on her face. Their faces al fell slightly as they muttered that they weren't. "If you aren't related to them, I would like you to go back with your families."
They grumbled slightly, but walked away, one of them holding up her phone and taking a snap of Liam. He didn't say anything the whole time seeing as he was completely freaking out about everything. It was just easier for him not to flip out if he didn't say anything.
