I had met everyone in Liam's weirdly large family. It was something that I hoped I would never have to do it with any other family, ever. Although they were all so sweet and wonderful, I had to walk around for about an hour and start up a new conversation with each one of them. Since I had never really been a talker, it was fed up with it.
It wasn't like I didn't like them either, they were all really nice. There had never been anyone in my life who talked a lot, besides Em, who was now gone. When I had all his talking in one siting, I was getting slightly tired as well. Being pregnant was really taking its toll on me.
Liam though, was loving every part of it. He had missed the craziness of being around his big family. The only reason I hadn't asked to go sit down, was because he really liked taking me around, showing my pregnancy off to his family. If I were to leave, I knew he would take it as me not supporting him, ar something like that and I didn't want that big smile to go away because of something I did.
So, by the time we had gone through all tthe people, I felt like crying. Liam knew I was starting to get tired, so he led me up to his old room. While we had been going through the list of relatives, he had been showing me around his house. But, I was yet to see the room he grew up in.
I wasn't really sure what I expected when I walked in, as he was a nerd at heart with a slight obsession with Pixar movies. It was pretty normal though. A few framed pictures of him and his family, some of friends and then just posters all over the walls. It seemed like his mom had bought some of the merchandise, because it was completely ling the walls.
There was even a life sized cutout in the corner.
"Cute." I smiled when I picked up a plush toy of Woody from Toy Story sitting on his dresser.
He came up behind me, wrapping his arms loosely around my waist and resting lightly on my pregnant belly. "I haven't been home long enough at one time to get this room updated. When I stay here, the whole family comes over and even then, I usually live in London."
"Why not here?" I asked, leaning into him.
I could feel him shrug. "All the business is in London, plus, the boys live there."
"Doesn't your family miss you?"
He sighed. "This country is quite small. It doesn't take that long for me to drive from London home. If there was ever a real emergency, I could be here in no time."
I nodded and walked over to the chair in his corner. It took me a few seconds to sit down, more than it usually took. Liam sat on his bed, leaning back against the headboard slightly. He and I were perfectly comfortable sitting here, not talking. I was glad it wasn't extremely awkward considering I had been crying earlier today and so had he.
"I met your cousin Jennifer." I said and regretted it right after. I really didn't want to tell him what she had said, but, I started the conversation anyway.
He smiled, completely unaware of how upset I was about the whole thing. "My mom said she and Aunt Terry would be back in about an hour. She's great isn't she?"
I smiled, trying to play it off like I liked her. "Ya." My voice actually sounded kind of convincing, something that was weird considering I usually wasn't convincing whenever I tried to lie. Maybe it was because the lie was to make she he stayed happy and I really wanted that.
"She and I were really close when we were younger. She used to live next door when I was about nine and she was six. It was really fun to live that close to her." He was really happy talking about her. I didn't want to take that away from him by saying what she had done.
