Past...
I enter the crowded cafeteria and search around only to see Jack sitting on the table where we once used to sit together. Now he had Mary sitting beside him. As if feeling my gaze Mary turn her her and smirk at me, looking totally smug.
Ugh, I really wish it is some type of cartoon so that I'll be able to shoot lasers and kill her. The only thing I can do is glaring at her. I know I should probably be pretending to fake a smile and all of those shit but right now I'm too angry...and hurt to fake anything.
I almost turn back ignoring the few guys who catcall me to sit with them but I saw him. Logan.
He is eating alone, and the 'Happy Logan' thing is absent. He look pretty sad making me frown. Just then a guy passes him and dump his leftover at Logan's table.
It make me so mad for some reason that I miss Logan's reaction and approach his table while keeping my train on the guy who is now saying some things to Logan.
"Hey" I said softly as I reach them, the guy's annoyed look turn into happiness as he saw me. I smile at him while pulling him closer by his shirt. I may have fallen down the social ladder cause of Jack but I still know what I can do, what power I have left.
"Whoa, Anna" he chuckles.
I keep my eyes fixed on his to distract him so he won't see me grabbing his leftovers. Then I shove it down the inside of his shirt.
"Fuck" he reeled back. The people were laughing at the scene.
"You bitch" he grabbed the front of his shirt to shake off the crumbles.
"Get lost" I said quickly before sitting in front of Logan. He was repeatedly blinking at me, I couldn't read his expression.
"You free today?" I smile at him.
Don't do it. Don't do it. My mind yells but maybe it was the adrenaline or something about him that made me ask him. Yeah, I'm confused too. Maybe I should back out before-
He put back on his huge smile, "Yeah"
Okay, it caught me off guard again. I can't say no to that. Besides, he seem harmless. It will be like hanging out with a kid.
Yeah right, my mind says.
"Cool. I'll show you around"
I picked up my fries and started eating them.
..................................................................."Honey boo! You're here! I saved up your favourite for you" I try not to blush at Nana's nickname for me as it was in front all Logan.
It has been weeks since Logan and I had hang out together. The day I showed him around, I find out that we click together really well. He's very easy to talk to and patient too. He makes me feel at ease. In addition to that we both have love for ice-creams. The classical ones with cones. We basically bond over that. Turns out our house is in the same direction as well, till the Y-road. That's why we go home together. I told myself that it would be a one time thing but something about him makes me want to stick around.
Now is the prove as today's my day to visit Nana and I had no choice to bring him here as her bakery is in the direction of our way home. I can't ask him to wait outside.
"Hey Nana" she smile at me before her eyes shifted to Logan and narrows. Uh oh. Knowing all about my past, she's protective and never like the guys I bring over. Especially my boyfriends. I always warn them beforehand as I warned Logan earlier.
Before I can defend and explain Logan was a nice friend, Logan, not seeming to be intimidated by Nana's mean glare walk over to her. Damn him! Why didn't he listen!
