Okay, when I said I need to progress, I don't mean Jake has to literally sit opposite of me while we work.
It started off by the professor giving us group work and forming it himself so it would be fair for all. Now I end up with Jake when I want to get group up up with Logan. His group mates litereally cheered during class. Lucky fuckers.
Now me, Jacob, Debbie, Benjamin and Alaric are sitting in the library, separating works and doing research. The fact that Jake keeps starting at me from time to time is so distracting. I want to shout 'What the hell do you think you are doing?' But I refrain.
"Anna" Jake says making me sigh and look up from my laptop
"What?"
"You were great in your last game"
"Thanks" I said coldly and get back to work. I caught his expression darken.
Okay, remember your vow. This is the guy who ruin your faith. You need to slay him.
I put on a smile then look up again to see him typing down on his own laptop but I keep on anyway,
"I didn't expect to see you there to be honest"
His eyes shot up when he hear my voice then he smirk, "You know I love coming to see you play"
He doesn't get soccer the way I don't get football but he comes along with his friends to show off that the girl who owns the field is his girlfriend. Of course, he also love the attention from media who puts up 'The quarterback supporting his soccer star girlfriend'
I keep my smile on making him think I appreciate it. When his phone vibrates he take a look at his message and sigh.
"Girl problem again?"
"Nah. That was Alicia"
That spark me up, "How's she?"
How can I forget Alicia, Jake's big sister who graduated from here last year. When we dated, I met her briefly and we instantly click. We would skype and chat constantly. When Jake and I broke off, I cut her off too even though she did nothing wrong. Evething that relates to Jake just hurted me.
"She's mean as always. Also, she told me you blocked her" he mumbled the last part
"I did"
"She was pretty upset about it"
I couldn't say anything to that.
"She's coming over to the campus to give me some stuffs I asked for, wanna see her"
My eyes widen with excitement, "Yeah, sure"
I need to to make it up to her. I let Jake affect my life more that I like. I need to fix them bit by bit. That includes his sister.
Jake smile lets me he is happy with that. Wow. I progressed better than I thought.
...................................................................
When we enter a cafe, we saw a pretty blonde girl with a fancy dress sitting alone in the corner-Alicia. She looked bored sitting there while typing on her phone. She often come off and stuck up but she's cool. When her gaze shift to the door, her eyes lighten up.
She stands up and wave crazily, "Anna" as if we'll miss her if she don't. Doesn't give a fuck even when other customers give her dirty look.
I smile as we walk towards her. She threw herself at me when we reach her, squeezing me with all she can, "I miss you, girl"
"Miss you too, Alicia" I said as she pulls back.
"You blocked me" she pouts.
"I'm sorry. It's just that the break up..." I can't say anything more with the culprit standing right beside us.
