Chapter9

Present...

"You ready" Logan asks as he jump on one foot to the other waiting for me.

"Hmm" I moan lazily after yawning while I am tying my shoelace. It's quite chilly so I hope my jumper is enough to keep me warm. "You came too early"

"It's 5:00am" he scowled as if it's late already. He had his red hoodie on which looks ridiculously good on him.

"I stayed up late last night that's why" I grumbled as I can't even seem to tie my shoelaces properly. They seem to tangled up more.

He chuckles before kneeling in front of me, brushing my hands away and tying my shoelaces for me as if I was 5.

"I should have never told you that I'd walk with you"

He stood up and walk behind me, grab me by my waist and straighten me up easily, "You are stuck with me boo" he said softly beside my ear making goosebumps arise from his warm breath. He is pressing his front against my back too so I swallowed because it is making me think of different things. Why do he smell so damn good even at early morning anyway. Maybe he have showered first as usual. I wish his arms could- Wait, snap out of it.

"Let's move" I said quickly, moving away.

We run for a few kilometers before we reach the park and started stretching.

"How is your group project going" I ask.

"Almost done, just need to edit a few more things. How is yours?"

"I don't know anymore. Lily won't do shit, work has to be divided between Lola and me. At least lola is smart. There are lots of things I can't figure it out, after that-" I rant before he stopped me.

"Hey hey" he tucks me by my arms and pulled me closer to him. I see the girls around the park sending me glares, probably thinking I'm the girlfriend. He cups my cheek making me meet his eyes, "Live in the moment. Nothing will change if you worry"

I know he is right so I only sigh before sitting down on the bench. He sits besides me. I pull out my phone and earphones. I handed him one side like we always do and listen to songs.

Just then we hear some strange noise behind the bush. Logan frowned and we both put the phone away. We got up and slowly approach the bush. When we step around it I see a guy badly injured, he could barely seem to move, he got visible bruises on his face and arms.

"Oh fuck" I cursed and knelt in front of him. He seemed to be conscious but doesn't have the strength to move. He look like he is around same age as us.

"We need to take him to the hospital"

"Yes yes" I said grateful for his quick thinking.

Logan quickly move and we both pick up the guy and luckily we are both tall so it is easy for us to help the guy on Logan's back.

After 30mins...

The doctors treated the guy quickly, giving him meds and letting him rest. One of the nurses was a bish though. She eye raped Logan the whole time and was snappy with me.

They told us later we can go when the guy was awake. They talked to him and seems his his relatives are coming from him.

It was raining as we stood outsids the door of the hospital. It makes me groan in frustration.

"We are going to be late for class" At some point I think I stomp my feat.

"It's just a rain boo. It doesn't hurt" he chuckles. I am very aware of him as we stood side by sids, our arms touching and the feel of his body heat.
