The princess and the dragon {COMPLETED}

Happy thanksgiving everyone! This story is my personal favorite and I have been working on it for a month now, so enjoy!

Lucy POV

"The dragons are invading!"

"Hold your ground men!"

"Their too strong sir! We must retreat to a safe location!"

"We can't!! We have to protect the king and princess!"

Was all I herd outside, this wasn't new for the kingdom of magnolia, let me explain.....

Dragons and humans have been rivals forever, until one day a woman protected a dragon from being killed by human. The dragon was huge and scary looking, but the woman said she saw good in him. So she protected him and healed him, after that the humans were outraged that she do such thing. So.... they killed her.
This woman, was my mother..... and the person her sent her to treason.....was my father, I couldn't believe that my father would kill my mother!
So ever sense then I hated my dad, and loved for the day to see a dragon. But my father found out about my plans to see a dragon, he locked me in a tall tower, and I have been here ever sense.

So now we're back to present, and the humans and dragons are still fighting. By the sound of it the soldiers from our side were loosing. I smirked, 'payback' I thought.

Then suddenly, it was quiet. I didn't know that was happening so I looked out the window to see every human there... dead. I gasped, I didn't like my own kind, but I didn't want them to die! So I ran to the door and did my very best to break it down,but I was too weak.
I looked at my hands, 'I'm shaking' I thought. I slid down the door and hugged my knees, I didn't want this to happen. I didn't want everyone to die! Suddenly, I just remembered that there still might be survivors! But I have to get out of here and right now!!

"Oi! Salamander! I think there's someone up in that tower over there!" An unfamiliar voice said.

'Oh crap oh crap oh chap oh crap OH CRAP!' I freaked out.

All I need to think about now is living to see tomorrow! I didn't know what to do though, so I grabbed the baseball bat from under my bed and waited.

"Alright! Im all fired up!"

"Just shut up and let's go ash for brains."

"What did you say Elsa?!?"

"You herd me-"

"Do I hear fighting?"

"N-no ma'am!"

'Are they fighting each other ?' I thought gripping the bat tighter

I was still leaning against the door, hoping I might be able to keep them out for was long as possible. But that was a flop when I saw 4 human looking dragons fly through the window.

"Hey, That might be the princess they were talking 'bout."
A male with raven hair and no shirt said. And being the girl I am screamed, droped the baseball bat and covered my eyes, and fell to the floor again.

"Grey!! Put your shirt on dammit! Your scaring her!" A female voice said.

"Shit! Sorry!" The man I suppose is 'Grey' yelled.

"So, Natsu, what will we do with her?" The female voice said again.

"Kill her?" The deep voice said

"No Gajeel, she doesn't look any harm. So we should bring her with us!" The male 'natsu' said.

Bring me with them? Why? At least they don't see me as a threat but I still refused to open my eyes.

"Fine.... but you will deal with the responsibility of trying to get your father to approve." The only female voice I have herd ever sense they got here said. I guess she IS the only girl dragon here.

"Ok Natsu, were heading back. See you later." The girl said before leaving.

"Aye sir!" 'Natsu' cheered

I herd foot steps coming closer to me, I started freaking out again and tried to back up. But I couldn't that because I was already leaning against the door. Remember that I still am covering my eyes.

"Hey, don't be afraid.... I'm not gonna hurt ya." The voice said.

I slowly put my hands down and looked at his features, he looked human to me. We his hair color didn't look natural at all-

*chuckle* "My hair is naturally this way."

'Can he read minds?!?' I screamed in my head.

"I can't read minds.... I just get asked that question a lot." He continued

That makes more sense.

"So.... what's your name princess?" He asked me

"L-Lucy Hartfillia." I told him quietly, I doubt he heard me

"Nice to meet you Luce! The names Natsu! Natsu Dragneel....so I guess you heard our conversation about you coming with us, do you wanna?"

I really did want to, the main reason is I wanted to find the dragon my mother saved.

I nodded and and he yelled-

"I'm all fired up!!" He pumped his fist in the air.

So that's who said it earlier~

All of a sudden he picked me up and held me in bridal style. I let out a small "eep!" At the sudden act, but when he jumped out the window and started to fly caused me to hide my face in his chest. I heard him chuckle again.
