Emily's POV:
I'm just entering the drop ship when I hear cries of.
"Raven!" I immediately turn around and see Raven limping weakly."Murphy shot her," Someone shouts, as Finn grabs her and follows me into the drop ship. He lies her down, and I find that the bullet has gone into her back, and there is probably internal bleeding. However, with us leaving there is not much either me or Clarke can do, so I go and take a sip of my medicine, then pack it in my black bag, along with a space blanket. I already have food, weapons and water in it, as I always carry those things with me, just in case. I go downstairs to the drop ship, where Clarke is closing the wound with a boiling knife. Despite being tough, Raven screams out in pain. I meet Clarke's eye, and she gives me a worried look, which I think is about Raven, until she says,
"Emily, are you sure you will be ok to walk? Someone can carry you." I sigh, and take my jacket off, revealing an almost healed cut. Clarke gasps,
"What the hell, how have you gotten that much better in a few days?" She asks with wide eyes. I pull out my cup of medicine, and smile.
"Turns out my knowledge on plants and medicine was finally useful! We can give some of this to Raven to help with any infection, but it won't stop any internal bleeding," I say, passing Clarke the jar.
"Bellamy," She calls out, as Bellamy comes rushing in.
"What is it, is something wrong?" Bellamy asks worriedly.
"No, actually the opposite. I always knew Emily was smart, but look at her shoulder," Clarke says, and Bellamy's eye line travels down to my shoulder.
"What the... I though you said it wouldn't heal!" Bellamy says disbelievingly."Not on it's own, but Emily's managed to create a sort of medicine." Clarke smiles, while I just blush.
"It was pretty easy, I just remembered what we learn't on the ark," I say humbly, before Raven lets out a groan from beside us. "Come on, we need to leave, someone needs to carry Raven," I say.
"To hell I can walk!" Raven exclaims, and I have to admit I admire how much sass she can put into her words after being shot."Raven listen to me, the bullet is still inside you. If by some miracle there's no internal bleeding it might hold until we get somewhere safe, but you are not walking there. Is that clear?" Clarke says harsher than I think she intended. Raven just nods, while Finn goes to get a stretcher.
"Can't get away fast enough huh?" Bellamy growls at Finn.
"Their's no shame in running away from a fight you can't win," Finn says.
"Spoken like any coward who every backed out of a fight," Bellamy says threateningly."That's enough, it's time to go," I say stepping between them. Bellamy and Finn exchange glances.
"If they follow? There's a 120 mile trek to the ocean." Bellamy asks.
"Look we're wasting time. If he want's to stay, he can stay," Finn snaps."No he can't! We can't do this without you Bellamy," I say softly, looking him dead in the eye. Bellamy just sighs, then says,
"Fine, but I'm just coming for you Emily."
*
Leaving the camp is a gloomy task, as nobody wants to see our self made home left to the grounders. As we make our way out of the fence and around the trees, the gunners lead, followed by everyone else. I wait with Clarke for Bellamy, who is taking one last look at the place we called home.
"You did good here Bellamy," Clarke says softly."18 dead," Bellamy mutters, while I sigh.
"82 alive, you did good I say," taking Bellamy's hand and pulling him to the back of the line. As sad as it is leaving our home, the other weight that hangs down on me is that if the ark were to come to earth, they would no longer find us, as they would surely land near where we did. However, it does feel good to be leaving familiar ground, to explore more of earth and meet new people, potentially friendly people. However, after a few minutes of walking, we come to a halt.
"What is it?" I hear someone whisper from the front, as all has gone deathly silent. Suddenly, an ax comes flying out from the stretch of woods in front of us. It hits somebody, and I hear a thud.
"GROUNDERS!" Jasper shouts, as everybody runs back to camp, making no effort to be quiet and screams echo in my head. Bellamy lets go of my hand.
"Run back to camp and don't look back," he says sternly, though I look him straight in the eye.
"No, I won't leave you Bellamy." I say. Me Bellamy and Clarke run to the new back and motion for people to head back to camp, then upon getting everybody back in the gates, we hide behind a metal shield.
"Why aren't they attacking?" Bellamy asks me and Clarke."Because we're doing exactly what they want us to do," Clarke says suddenly.
"What are you talking about?" Bellamy asks. Clarke turns to face Finn and Octavia, who are a few meters behind us."Lincoln said the scouts would be the first to arrive," Clarke says, and I'm not quite sure where she's going.
"If it's just scouts we can fight our way out, that's what Lincoln would do," Octavia points out."We're done doing what that grounder would do, we tried it and now drew is dead, want to be next?" Bellamy asks, though there is no nicer way of saying it.
"That grounder saved our lives! I agree with Octavia, for all we know there's only one scout out there!" Finn declares.
"One scout with insanely good aim," Jasper points out from our left.
"Clarke, we can still do this!" Octavia argues.
"Looking to you princess, what's it going to be? Run and get picked off out in the open, or stand and fight back?" Bellamy asks, though when you say it like that there's only one answer.
"Looks like you've got your fight," Clarke says aggressively to Bellamy, while I groan silently. I've never liked violence, and a war we can't win is not what I wanted to happen on earth.
