Emily's POV:

I wake up wet and shivering, then see Clarke smirking and holding a bucket.

"Get up you two, it's dawn," She smiles, walking away. I turn around, and realise Bellamy's arms are wrapped around me. I stand up quickly, and notice many people staring.

"Clarke, get everyone inside and close the doors, maybe the grounders won't think we're here," Bellamy says, standing up himself.

"You don't think Finn and Jasper will make it?" Clarke asks, Bellamy just shakes his head. I go outside, and shout,

"Everybody inside now!" Despite Bellamy saying that won't work, everyone rushed into the drop ship, suddenly remember what time it is. I'm just saying I told you so to Bellamy, when there is a loud blast and smoke fills the air. We all look in awe.

"They did it," Bellamy gasps.

"I am become death, destroyer of worlds," Clarke mutters to no one in particular, while me and Bellamy stare at her. "The guy that build the first bomb," She explains to us. Suddenly, everyone starts cheering and shouting, happy that something good has finally happened. Bellamy takes hold of my hand, however although I don't say it, we're not even sure that the bomb will stop the attack. We all gather round the entrance to the camp, waiting for our hero's return.

"There back!" Somebody shouts, as Jasper and Monty become visible, followed by Finn helping Raven, who seems to have caught the virus. Clarke rushes up and gets her to the sickbay, while I stay and talk to Monty and Jasper.

"Well done guys," I say, as Jasper smiles at me.

"It was nothing, just shot a tin can," Jasper jokes, before being led off by more worshipping friends. I see Bellamy, and walk over to him.

"Hey," He smiles at me.

"Bellamy, I hate to be the one to ruin the happy vibe going on, but how do we know that the grounders won't come tonight instead?" I say, while Bellamy sighs.

"We don't, but they haven't attacked this morning, so that's why we're celebrating," He points out. I shrug, then decide to go and ask Clarke for advice on my shoulder, which isn't getting any better. I enter the drop ship, and avoid the few still sick people. Clarke see's me, and comes over.

"Hey Emily," She says.

"Hey Clarke, I was wondering if you could take a look at the wound on my shoulder, it's not getting any better," I ask.

"Sure, is this the wound you got from the arrow?" She asks me, as I pull my jacket off.

"Yeah, I'm worried that it's infected," I say, though the look in Clarke's eyes tells me it is.

"Is it really bad?" I ask worriedly.

"Emily, you have a blood infection." She says, as my heart sinks.

"Oh, well I guess I should go and get some of that seaweed from the lake before it gets too bad," I say, trying to mask the fact I'm freaking out.

"You will have to, ask Bellamy to go with you, I'm sure he would agree,"  Clarke smirks, making a reference to this morning, while I give her a glare and walk out. I find Bellamy talking to a Jasper and Monty.

"What is it, you look worried?" Bellamy asks.

"Bellamy, I need you to come with me to the river to get some of that red seaweed, it's urgent," I say.

"What for?" Bellamy asks worriedly, while I look down guiltily.

"Um, me, Clarke told me I have blood poisoning from the wound on my shoulder," I tell him.

"What, are you serious Emily? This is why you shouldn't have come to the bridge, and why you should have told us immediately! If you die I will never forgive you!" He shouts in shock.

"Well, will you come with me to the river or not? Clarke said we need to bring a guns," I tell him.

"Fine, I'll come, but only because you seriously need it," He sighs, and grabs his own gun.

"We need to hurry if we want to be back by the time it gets dark," I say, taking off into a run. However, I accidentally drop the gun I was carrying in my right hand. I go to pick it up, however as my fingertips close around the gun, they can't find the strength to grip it properly, so I have to pick it up with my left hand. Bellamy sees this, and although he doesn't say anything, he reminds me that he has things to do, so we need to hurry. I pick up into a run, and before long we've reached the river, however something's different. The water has lost its hint of red, and there is no red seaweed in sight. I close my eyes, not wanting to think what this means.

"Maybe there's some further down," Bellamy says, not believing what he's saying.

"Don't be stupid Bellamy, it's game over, we just better hope can fight this infection off on my own, if it can't, I'll be dead within a few weeks," I say, knowing it needs to be said. Bellamy walks over and kisses me, then holds my hands.

"Your strong Emily, you can fight this," He says, tears in his eyes.

"Bellamy, when the grounders come, we need to be ready to fight, and if the time comes, you have to leave me behind. Whatever you do, don't slow down for me, I couldn't die knowing that," I whisper.

"No Emily, I won't leave you behind. I love you Emily," He says, warmth filling his voice.

"Bellamy, I love you to," I reply, before I notice the sun beginning to set in the distance, and I tell him we need to go back.
