Chapter 21:The rest of our lives.

"What the hell are you talking about  about??! What do you mean leah is pregnant?you stupid boy!!" Mrs boyle yelled at leah and ashton who sat infront of the computer as they told her the news
" Mom. .." ashton tried talking
"Do you know what you've done?she is just a kid..you are both just kids!!"
"Mrs boyle.." Leah tried calming her down
"You've ruined her life ashton!!!your carelessness has ruined her forever"
"MOM!!!"ashton yelled at his mother "we weren't careless! !it was one time and...."
" I think it was that time in the laundry room?" Leah murmured to him and vivienne who was at the corner scrunched up her nose thinking about them doing it in the laundry room " God .guys that's a public room" she whispered to herself running her hand through her hair
"Yeah I think so too" ashton murmured back "look mom...am sorry that having me at such a young age ruined your life but leah isn't you and I am certainly not dad.we are going to get through this?"
"And her education?"
"We'll figure it out " ashton said
"But you wount!!!you'll ruin her life "
"Mom you are scaring her!"ashton said when he noticed how leah's hands shook under the table
"Well she should be scared!...you should be scared leah!how long gone?
"3 months " leah answered
"Oh God" mrs boyle sighed a tear falling from her eyes then she went offline.
"Well that was a disaster " ashton said "are you okay?"he looked at leah
"I need to be alone "she whispered not looking up at him .she stood up and walked towards the art room
"leah.." vivienne tried to hold her back
"Don't touch me" leah said coldly.it has been 2 weeks now and leah still hasn't spoken to her after she told ashton she was pregnant when she begged her not to. Ashton let leah be alone for 30 minutes before walking into the art room where she was sculpting
"Hey" he walked slowly to where she sat ,she looked up at him briefly before going back to work " are you okay?" He asked and she looked up at him with a 'really?' Expression "I'm sorry...stupid question" he sighed "look am sorry leah..am sorry this happend but am going through this too and its tough on us both ,that's why we need eachother more than ever now. You can't keep giving me the icy attitude like you have this past few days "he said "I love you leah and I need you in order to get through this"
He finished . she briefly looked at him then back at her work not replying
"I guess I know what you want now...." he brought out a brochure "...I'll follow you there if this is what you want....I accept your decision " he said but she still didn't look at him " ....whenever you are ready to look for a clinic you tell me leah Evans "he said walking to the door
"What did you call me?" She looked up at him finally answering
"....leah Evans " he repeated confused
"Am an 18 yrs old girl who is pregnant and who did I call?"
".....noone "he answered knowing where this was going
"Exactly!! This baby is my chance. ..my chance at the family I deserve am not giving that up.this baby is my family!!" She placed a hand over her stomach careful not to stain her shirt with clay hands
"...but I can be your family too..if you let me "he knelt next to her "...leah" he tucked her hair behind her ear and turned her face to his when she turned away
"..I'm angry " she confessed " I'm angry at you...at vivienne, at myself most of all for not being in the best possible mindframe for this child....for not being perfect enough"
"You are just fine leah"
"What if that's not enough?"
"Then we'll work...day and night until we are perfect" he promised
"I'm scared ash "she leaned her forehead on his 
"It'll be weird if you weren't "he smiled.leaned in and gave her a loving kiss.

"I promise I'll call everyday and fly in as often as I can" Aston assured her as he shut the trunk of the cab. She didn't really care if he called or not,she wasn't listening to all this goodbye jumbo munbo. Her mind was on the ice cream she had dreamt about making in one of her many naps, and she knew she would regret not paying attention but she just couldn't help it her pregnancy hormones had one task in mind only and that was the ice cream. She was 5 month gone now but she was barely showing they were all worried about that but the doctor assured her it was just her body's way .
"Take care of yourself" he gently stroked her stomach .it was obvious it was killing him to go but MIT waits for noone
" I will" she assured him with a smile
"God I love you so much leah Evans " he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her in for a griping kiss , she chuckled and kissed him back happily "I love you too ash " she whispered when they broke the kiss but their foreheads still together .
" Don't go for any appointments alone"
"I wount "
"Don't stress yourself"
"I wount"
"Call me if you need anything "
"GOD ASH just go already .you'll miss your flight...jesus Christ !" She rolled her eyes
" alright " he pulled her in again for a kiss " I love you" he said with so much seriousness in his eyes and it started feeling all too real ,her mind wasn't on the ice cream anymore " oh my God he's leaving?"she thought to herself as tears fell from her eyes
" don't date anyone " she said mid sobs and he chuckled at how fast her mood changed
" I wount " he kissed her one final kiss before entering the cab and it zoomed off . she watched it go out of sight still waving
"Let's go in" vivienne said guiding her into the house. It was over an hour now since ashton left and the ice cream didn't help ease her aching heart but she didn't cry either.she was determined not to cry .the doorbell rang while they were deciding on which movie to watch "I'll get it" vivienne stood up " uh leah " vivienne called from the door sounding shoked
"Yeah?" leah stood up and walked to the door where she saw the last person she ever expected
" Dad !" She let out  breath
" bunny" her dad gave his charismatic smile her pulled her in for a tight hug then slowly released her and looked down at her stomach . Him hugging her tight had made her loose shirt wrap around her highlighting her baby bump
" what the hell?" Her exclaimed
" yes dad.i'm pregnant "
" You didn't. .."
"....tell you? Well I couldn't quite schedule it in between ultra sounds and your budget meeting you see"
" it's not time for sarcasm mija "
"Its not time for father- daughter catching up either"
"Leah!!"
"Lea-ann got married did you know?"
"What?"
"Yeah...your daughter....she got married and didn't want any of us there...but you didn't know that which is just another reason in the over flowing list of reasons why I wouldn't let you near my child"
"You aren't keeping that thing!"
"Its a boy...and the very attentive father and I decided on naming him A.j ,so you best refrain from referring to my child as a thing!!"
"Leah.." he reached for her arm
"No.." she drew away "...I'm done dad. I'm done with begging for your love and attention, am done with remembering mom's funeral when you didn't attend ,am tired of going for her memorial services alone and realizing that the only one who ever gave a crap about me is 6 ft under....I have a family now and am done begging for you or Lea Ann's scraps of love and attention ...look at me "a tear fell from her eyes "...this is what you made me....your bunny is all grown up now and she's done waiting for you to realize how much she needs her daddy " she wrapped her arms around her stomach "....I have him now and he'll love me for the rest of my life ...he'll make it all better "she cleaned her tears " Bye senetor evans" she banged the door on his face and immediately she walked in she fell into vivienne's arms sobbing.
