chapter 6:talking to Ashton.

Leah slept over at vivienne's house again after they studied a little. the tired vivienne was already passed out sleeping but leah hadn't eaten dinner so she was so hungry "*sigh*I can't do this anymore " she complained, she quietly came down from the bed and walked to the door ,she opened it slowly and quietly went out.she walked quietly towards the kitchen.it was really dark but she managed to walk without tripping.
"You could just turn the lights on"
"*gasp*who..."before she could complete her sentence a light came on and she saw Ashton on the island table eating a bowl of ice cream."You too are in the dark"
"i like it that way " he took another scoop of ice cream " rough night?"
"Uh I..."she was shoked he was talking to her so she was short of words for a minute " i am really hungry " she finally said.he gave a slight chuckle
" you can come join me " he smiled
"Okay"she smiled back she walked to the pantry and came out with a chocolate chip cookies, she sat down and saw he was eating a vanilla and blue berry ice cream
"Hold on " she said taking the ice cream to her front .he just watched her in confusion wandering what she was doing she began to break the cookies in it , she brought out a caramel syrup and poured all around it, she poured a chocolate and strawberry syrup too, then she stood up and brought out a cap'n crunch and poured it all over.
"Perfecto!"she looked up at him with a smile and he just looked at the ice cream in confusion " go big or go home right?"she sprayed whip cream all around it " now I am done " she smiled and took her seat beside him again.she took a spoon full of her concoction and gave a loud moan " this tastes amazing! She said with a mouth full " try it " she pushed it towards him
"i think i would pass"
"Come on!!just try it and I promise you it will change your life"
"Fine " he took a spoon of the ice cream and put it into his mouth " Okay it tastes really great " he said After some seconds.
"Do you guys have any strawberries? "
"i think this is enough"
"i love putting fruits in whatever I am eating, it's like no matter what I eat if there is a fruit there i can convince myself that I am eating healthy " she smiled
"That's a really good system " he smiled back.
"Do you guys have any leftover Chinese? "
"Uh no why?"
"i was actually hoping to eat some.i have been craving it for a while now"
"There is a Chinese restaurant open 24/7 just a mile from here"
"Why would they do that?"
"I have no idea " he chuckled " i could drive you there if you want"
"I gotta start meeting the midnight Ashton. He is so much nicer and he doesn't ignore me or avoid me like a plague " she smiled mokingly at him.
"Fair enough.i guess i deserve that"
"You do.but vivienne told me why you hate cheerleaders so much"
"I don't hate them, I would just appreciate it if they stop messing  with her you know?"
"Yeah"
"So why are you different? "
"What do you mean?"
"Why are you friends with her?".
"have you met your sister? She says the coolest things every time! She is amazing and as far as I am concerned her brain isn't something she should get teased about"
"i think so too " he said looking afar as he thought of the bullies for a minute.
"So you are in college?"leah asked him
"Uh yeah " he put his spoon into the bowl but couldn't scoop anything he looked into the bowl and found it empty " how did this happen?"he looked at her.
"I Don't know " she gave gave a sly smile  "You shouldn't have left it with me for a long time"
"i left it with you for less than a minute " he chuckled."Do you still want Chinese? "
"Yeah " she smiled.
"Okay " he reached over and got his car keys then stood up.she went to wash the dishes then met him in the sitting room where he went to pick his phone.it wasn't until then that they realised they were wearing almost thesame thing.they both wore grey joggers, she wore a fitted jersey while he wore a white v - neck top. they looked like a couple.
          "This ride is pretty sweet " she said complimenting his range rover sport as she looked through his cd collection " i see you are into the 90's ?"
"Yeah I am"
"Why?"
"Because music was at its peak then.most songs this days are just jumbled up sounds you know?i listen to some Current artist too but only the ones that still make music. The feeling of hearing a person get on stage and sing the words your heart is aching to say or hear is one of the best feelings in the world,being sad and  knowing you aren't feeling this alone, knowing someone has felt thesame way as you before is very reassuring " he said.then looked over at her and she was really staring at him focused on what he was saying " sorry " he smiled
"No it's okay.its more than okay.i really enjoyed you talking "she smiled "it's just a pity most people won't feel that way anymore with the direction music is headed"
"Yeah " he smiled thrilled that she didn't think he was weird."pick out your favourite " he said
"It will probably be one of your uncle's"she looked through it.
"Vivienne told you?"
"Yeah.it took me a while to let it settle considering I had the biggest crush on your uncle when I was younger " she said and they both laughed at that. "If people at school knew who your uncle was i bet it would help vivienne alot "
"Yeah I know but we can't " he said " Okay we are here " he pulled towards the driveway and parked " I'll just go order"
"Can't I come with you?"
"it's really cold out there"
"I'll be fine"
"Alright " he came down and she came Down too. They ate their food and talked for and while and when they were done they went back to the car" that was amazing " she sat in the car , raised her legs and placed them on the smooth car "did you like your meal?".
"Yeah I really enjoyed the left overs you left me.i have never seen a girl eat as much as you, it's almost unnatural! "He laughed
"Yeah I know " she blushed"sorry"
"it's alright.its cute " he said and they both tensed at his words and after that the air was too akward to continue a conversation.
         They quietly drove into the house  driveway, parked and went In.
"Thanks again for the meal".leah said
"it's no problem " he smiled
"Where the hell have you guys been?" Vivienne asked looking sleepy
"Did we wake you?"leah asked
"I have been awake for some minutes now, did you go somewhere? "
"Yeah we went to eat " Ashton said
"i am guessing this was leah's idea?"
"You bet " leah smiled " Let's go back to bed viv " she held vivienne's hand and they walked up the stairs . Ashton remained downstairs for some minutes
"Hey " he heard leah's voice he turned back and saw her standing at the end of the stairs
"Hey " he said back
"i really hope you won't go back to the Ashton that ignores leah.i really had a great time with you, I hope we can do this again"
"Yeah me too " he smiled
"Good night Ashton " she said
"Goodnight leah " he smiled back. she went  up the stairs and into the room.
