Chapter 24 : Goodbye.....

It was evening now vivienne was helping her parents wash the dishes as they talked about how sad everything was but vivienne's mind wasn't on them ,she kept glancing up at ashton's room wondering what he was doing there ,he hadn't come down since he went to the room with the package "have they caught the guy who did it?" Viv asked looking away from ash's room
"Uh...no sweetie" her mom sighed reaching out to hold her in a comforting hug but viv took a step back before she could touch her ."I'll go check on ash " she said walking up the stairs .
"hey" she walked into Ashton's room and saw him attaching the crib . He was already done all that was left was to tighten the sides . She watched in silence as he deligently worked ,he gave a small contented smile at his achievements. Walked to his bed side table and brought out a picture of leah . Vivienne was the one who took the photo and developed it (one of her hobbies was photography ) leah was standing next to the lake laughing hysterically at a plunging fall that brad took . Her hands were wrapped around her bump,her head thrown slightly backwards and her hair flowing in the wind . Her eyes were closed and her smile was radiant ,she looked too happy for words. Ashton gently and lovingly placed the picture inside the crib
"It's beautiful " vivienne commented
"Yeah "he looked up at her tears glistening in his eyes " they are both here...happy" he sniffed and fell to his knees next to the crib . Vivienne could see his world was finally crashing down on him and it became all too real . Leah was gone...she was dead and so was his son .he let out a heartwrenching yell that made vivienne cover her mouth and sob . They both stayed in place sobbing at their loss ,their parents hovered outside the door scared to come in.there was nothing they could say or do that would possibly help the situation and they knew that .
     After putting Aston to sleep vivienne finally went back to her room curled up on a chair and sobbed closing her eyes . She heard the increasingly loud crunching sounds first then the giggle,which made her open her eyes to see leah
"Leah" she jerked to her feet
"Hey" leah stood up too dropping the chips on her lap on the ground, she wore the clothe she wore the day they first met in the hallway "how are you doing?"
"How do you think? You are dead" vivienne said and leah chuckled " it's not funny!!!"she yelled at her
"Yeah its not but it's alright "leah walked across the room playing with things like she did the first time she came to her room "I don't remember any memory like this....a few things but. ...what is this?"
"You tell me " she smiled again
"Will you stop smiling!!!it's not funny"
"It is... a little"
"How are you okay with this?"
"...because I understand now..."
"..you had such a bright future"
" But yours is brighter ..."
"...what does that have to do with anything?"
"...the boyle siblings will take over the world "she smiled ".....you needed to work on your esteem and ashton had to work on his emotions"
" You didn't have to die..."
"I was going to die either ways....if you two hadn't come...turns out I would have killed myself ...didn't peg myself as a Sucide person" she murmured non-challantly
"..don't go" vivienne begged . Leah walked to her and stood just inches infront of her "I am already gone viv...look...I always wanted a family, that's all I've ever wanted and you guys gave me that..I'm happy with the way things are..."
"...am not"
"You will be soon enough" she smiled at her " oh viv...the things you would achieve " she winked " take care of Aston" she raised her palm up for viv to place hers on it "Goodbye vivey....I love you ,my best friend" she smiled
"I love you too " Vivienne said happy to have finally replied . She raised her palm to place it on leah's but she was too slow because inches away from her palm leah began to fade away " ...and remember I'll always be right by your side" leah quietly said before fading away completely. Vivienne didn't jerked from sleep this time she simply opened her eyes . She was still curled up on the chair , she looked across from her to where she had seen leah seat and saw it empty and dark ,the bedside lamp didn't illuminate the whole room .she ran her fingers through her hair, sniffed and wrapped her arms tighter around herself " Goodbye..." she whispered into the darkness.....
