Chapter 3 - Babies suck
Kohl P.O.V. ~
I slowly opened my eyes, and saw that Avery and I had moved onto the couch together. I looked at this sleeping girl in front of me, and saw what most people don't see in her. Josh sees his old best friend, most of the cheerleaders see a whore, the soccer and volleyball girls see their star player, and the teachers see a good girl. I see this girl who's completely misunderstood by the world. I saw a good girl waiting to be bad. I see this girl in a completely different way from the rest of the world. I see........Avery.
I heard a groan and looked at Avery's now half-awake form. I smiled and stared at her as she woke up.
"Morning" she mumbled snuggling closer to my chest. I smiled and replied.
"Morning"
"Sleep better?" She asked
"Much" I smirked. She swatted my chest but giggled.
"So. Are we waiting for Josh or are we making breakfast before he wakes up?" She laughed
"Make it now. Knowing him, he won't be up till tomorrow" I laughed
"True" she replied and tried to get up, but I held her in place.
"Five more minutes" I mumbled pulling her back towards me.
"Fine" she giggled and we laid there on her couch.
Finally, after a half an hour, we got up to make breakfast. Eggs and bacon. Yum.
I watched as Avery tried to make scrambled eggs but failed miserably.
"Here. Let me help you" I laughed walking over to her. She huffed and handed me the spatula.
"I thought you'd never ask" she laughed and took a seat on the counter. I finished up the bacon and eggs and she handed me two plates to put them on. She grabbed two glasses and poured orange juice into each of them.
We sat down at the island and ate our breakfast. So now I know a few things about her.
1. Nightmares go away when I sleep with her
2. She's a horrible cook
3. She's adorable.
Okay, so I realize it's really early to call her adorable,mi mean we only met yesterday, but I don't really care, because she is adorable.
We laughed and made small talk and joked around. She's so nice. I couldn't help but smile at her.
I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and pulled it out as Avery took the dishes from our breakfast.
'Fight tonight. 8pm. Small kid. - Ben' it read. Ben is the guy who let's me know when I'm fighting. He's 21, so he's a few years older the me, but we're still friends. Not as close as Josh and I, but still friends.
I shoved my phone back into my pocket and looked back to Avery.
"What's was that?" She asked
"Nothing" I replied. She looked at me as if to see if I was lying. She finally gave up, but not before giving one last questioning look. She sighed and went back to washing the dishes.
"So Avery, are you in applied or academic?" I asked
"Academic" she replied "you?" She's asked
"Same" I replied
"Funny, I've never seen you in any of my classes. I've heard your name just never seen you" she laughed
"Babe, I'm a bad boy. I skip a lot" I chuckled. I watched as her body, physically tensed a tiny bit when I called her babe. I smirked. So I had an effect on her. Either a good one, or a bad one. My phone buzzed again and I pulled it out expecting it to be another guy from the fights, but it was my mom.
