You woke up, still in Loki's arms, only now he was caressing your head. You shuddered, and pushed away. He quietly chuckled.
"Didn't I tell you not to play with my hair?" You asked, climbing out of the bed. You checked the clock and calendar beside the bed. Loki laughed quietly behind you.
"Happy birthday." He said kindly, hugging you again. You jumped in surprise, and blushed hard. He let go and placed a small parcel on the bed. "I... I thought I would make it myself." You rolled your eyes, carefully opening the small package. You opened it, to reveal a pendant, with a small, gleaming symbol of your star-sign. Tears welled in your eyes. As much as you peeved having Loki around, this was rather sweet of him, even though you had only known him for four days.
"I-I don't know how to thank you... I mean, we still have to go see my soon-to-be ex, and dump him before he gets the chance to do it to me. Even so, you charming little asshat, this means so much to me." He chuckled. "I could leave you here, and then go and beat that jerk..."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Loki said. "What if your parents came home? They would surely enter the room to wish you a marvellous birthday." You sighed in annoyance. That was true.
"Fine then, but you're gonna have to lay low. Got that?" He nodded in agreement.
The time was ten in the morning, so your parents and brother would be at work. You treaded over to the wardrobe, grabbing out a sundress of your favourite colour. Loki took that as a signal to turn around. You smiled, and just left the room and got changed in the laundry, so you could find him some clothes. It was supposed to very hot today, and as much as Loki was a pain in the ass, you didn't want him to boil up. You found a pair or your brother's shorts, and an Assassins Creed™ t-shirt. The shirt, thankfully, had an assassins hood. You hoped he would be fine with them, as you slipped the dress on.
When you re-entered the room, you found Loki making your bed. You walked over and poked him in the back. "I didn't know princes were nice enough to make other's beds."
"It's the least I could do. What are those clothes in your arms?" He asked, grabbing them.
"It's supposed to be an oven outside today, and I guessed that it'd get far too stuffy in your armour. My parents have left for work, but my birthday presents are on the bench. Let's see what I got!"
"Can I get dressed first?" He asked, staring at you strangely. You nodded, blushing, and ran from the room. You started making a late breakfast in the kitchen, pancakes and ice-cream, because why not? He walked in, smiling. You pushed a plate of the delicious breakfast over the bench-top counter to him, and stared over at the presents. One was rather large, the rest smaller. There was six in total. "This is amazing!" He said, gesturing to his plate. "This creamy substance tastes fantastic. Now, let us begin opening the gifts!" You nodded in agreement, walked around the bench, and began opening the first gift. It was a book. You jumped excitedly.
"It's quiddich of the ages! Mom and Dad actually found it!" It was one of J.K Rowling's Harry Potter spin-offs, but you loved it.
"Quiddich?" Loki questioned, perplexed.
"A game from one of my favourite book series." The next thing you opened was a new violin, then another book (Hogwarts, a History), a Gamzee Makara figurine and a gift card to a variety of stores. Now, the only gift left was the large one.
"This seems promising." Says Loki, eyeing the large package. You pulled the paper off, to reveal a 'Laughing Jill' cosplay, chainsaw and all. Laughing Jill was one of your favourite female horror characters. Loki seemed confused. "Laughing... Jill?"
"She's a clown that kills people, and her boyfriend stuff them with candy." He shrunk back.
"That is... disturbing. I quite like it." He said.
You laughed quietly, placing a piece of pancake into your mouth. Loki helped your carry the gifts into your room after breakfast, and you-like a ninja-entered your brother's room to grab Loki a pair of shoes that made him look like he was a normal citizen. You watched as he pulled them on, unsure of what to do with the straps. You were borrowing your brother's strap-on sneakers, which-thank god- fit Loki. You bent down, and pulled the straps over.
Now all you had to do was meet your boyfriend, dump him, and let Loki scare the fuck out of him.
