At about eight that morning, you walked back into your room, with a fifth cup of coffee in your hands. He was hugging a pillow, snoring. You clapped your hands over your mouth, laughing. Still, it wasn't quiet enough not to wake him up. His eyes opened slightly, an he sighed.
"Where were you last night?" He grumbled. "I did not exactly sleep well alone."
"I was around the tower." You smiled, sitting on the end of the bed.
"All night?" He mumbled, burying his face into the pillow in an attempt to wake up.
"Sleep is for the weak." You quoted yourself.
"Yes, well I haven't slept much in a week, so- I am not weak." He sat up, glaring at you. You were getting used to him parading around shirtless now, but you still loved the view. He moved off the bed, and approached the bathroom. You followed along, mostly because you could. "Is that coffee in your hands?" He asked.
"Uh-huh. Fifth cup in ten hours." You smiled.
"That's hardly healthy."
"I don't care. I didn't want to fall asleep, and Tony has no pills or anything that he'd let me use to stay awake." He turned on the sink, splashing water into his face. You watched him in the mirror, before noticing the thin bruises on your neck. They were in the lines of a person's hands, probably from Steve. God that mad could get violent if he was upset.
"So," Loki said, grabbing a towel. "What were you doing last night?"
"Experimenting."
"With what?"
"Magic."
"Without me?" He asked. "Also, could you leave me for a moment, so I can have a shower?" He stared at you carefully. "Or would you rather join me?" He added, making you smirk.
"No, but put the towel down for a moment." You said. He unwillingly did so. "And stand in the shower. Don't bother taking off your pants." You added and he did that, too. You turned on the sink, using the air around the water to dense up and create a bowl. Loki watched contently.
And you brought the water over to above his head and dropped it. The water fell all over Loki and he was not impressed.
"That was far from helpful." He grumbled.
"Oh shut up." You said, before manipulating the water to leave his body, and leaving it fall to the floor. Any excess water fell off his body and went down the drain. You then pushed at the air and he dried quickly. He then stepped out of the shower, nodding at you with respect.
"Well that, was something I've never seen before." He said. You grinned.
"I thought you'd like it." You smiled, before taking his place in the shower and doing the same thing to yourself.

In the kitchen, Darcy and Jane were bickering over who should get more coffee. Darcy's excuse was that she was 'up all night partying with Ian in the city and now she was hungover', while Jane's was a little more respectable that she 'was doing work with Tony and Bruce in the lab, and also playing with the cannon.' Loki sat at the table, watching.
"Guys seriously, Maybe you should have been up all night with coffee." You said, gesturing to the one in your hands. "This is my fifth one already." You said. Darcy raised an eyebrow.
"What were you doing?" She asked, suggestively raising an eyebrow and tilting her head towards Loki. You smirked, shaking your head, and pushed at the air in front of her, and she stumbled. "Oh... okie dokie then."
"Did you seriously just push at the air particles?" Jane asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"I've been trying to do that with robotics for years." She grumbled, and while Darcy wasn't paying attention, poured the rest of the coffee.
"Hey!" Darcy snapped.
"Snooze ya lose." Jane said, leaving the kitchen and starting down the hall. Darcy mumbled curses as she was forced to make more coffee.

A few hours later, Loki emerged from the living room into yours.
"Hey there." You said, looking out the window. He walked behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist as he looked outside.
"Afternoon, love." He mumbled, resting his chin on your shoulder. "It feels odd, looking out at a city I once tried to destroy."
"Oh really now? I take it most buildings were rubble last time you saw them?" You asked, turning your head to face his.
"Most of them." He repeated. The two of you stood like that for a while, before you spoke up.
"I think we should go back to the underground." You said.
"What? Why?"
"It's safer than here."
"It's really not."
"Why?"
"Jareth might try and steal your brother."
"He'd fail."
"It would still be amusing to watch." He mumbled, digging his face into the crook of your neck. "Still, it seems like a good idea. He might like having more humans around, even if he is a Goblin King. I think he might also like being home for a while."
"So that's a yes?"
"I'll talk to him about it." He mumbled, pulling you closer and hugging you even tighter.
