34. I Thought We Were Best Friends

I was given the freedom of being able to walk around the base. I had to have a restraining bracelet though. If I went so far it would give me a very painful shock. I was walking around for a while until I heard sobbing. The sobbing was coming from a closet. I opened it and there Cayla was crying.

"Go away!" She screamed.

"Hey calm down it's me." I said calmly.

"Oh Leila I thought you were locked in a cell?" She asked.

"I explain later. First tell me what's wrong." I said.

"Ben broke up with me. I thought he loved me. The only thing that shocked me was who he dumped me for. It was Rea." She said. I think she was scared to tell me because she said it very quietly. I had been sitting next to her but once I heard this I stood up and Cayla could tell I was mad.

"I'll see you later. First I have to go deal with someone." I said sternly. I was so mad I was able to break my restraining bracelet using the force. I somehow summoned my lightsaber and blaster. I was ready to go.

I walked around for a while. I killed a few troops. Finally I made it to Rea's room. Cayla told me it was her old room so I new exactly where it was. I forced open the door and went in. Rea was sitting on her bed reading her book. When she saw me she gasped.

"You thought I wouldn't find out. Didn't you?" I asked.

"I was hoping for that." She said. I could tell she was a bit frightened.

"You were wrong. Why would you do this? How could you do this? If Ben hurts you again don't come crawling back to me. I don't ever want to see you on the Falcon again. This is it Rea. Don't ever contact me in anyway. I can't go through this again with you. I'm sorry." I said.

"Fine! Ben won't hurt me again you wait and see. He won't bother you either. Now get out." She yelled.

"Then why does he want me dead! Do I not mean anything to you. Were you never my best friend. I guess I can't trust anyone anymore. Not even you." I said. I saw she was a little hurt by what I said but I didn't care. This was her fault. She brought this on herself. I walked out of the room and didn't look back.

The security here was bad so I was able to sneak out easily. I found Han and Anakin in a cell and I got them out and we headed to the Falcon. Troopers tried to shoot at us but they missed. I got us safely into hyperdrive.

"Ani I'm sorry about Rea." I said.

"It's fine. I can't love anyone I guess." He said. I could tell this hurt him.

"Your welcome to stay with us if you want." I said.

"I think I'll stay in Coruscant for a while so I can clear my head."

"It'll be alright. I hope." I said gloomily.
