19. Saving Rea

I was in horrible pain from my broken ribs. Yeah ribs. Turns out he broke 2 of them. Han had bruises and scratches all over his back from trying to protect me. Worst of all was Rea. She was in pain. Not physical. Heartbreak pain. The guy she fell in love with broke her heart. He betrayed her. He deserved to be punished but no one could do it right now.

Rea wouldn't come out of her room except during meal times. She wouldn't talk to anyone. When ever you saw her, you could tell she had been crying. Her eyes were red and puffy. Other times you could see the anger in her eyes.

I was finally able to stand up but not without help. Han had healed successfully so he had to help me get around. I wanted to see Rea but she wouldn't open the door. Then I decided to take extreme measures. I decided to call Anakin. Rea hated Anakin all because of Ben or Kylo Ren. He had messed with her mind. I couldn't tell her sooner because Kylo had threatened to hurt me and Han. I had know for a while now. Like 3 years now. This is what happened.

I heard Ben talking to someone.

"Yea everything went fine. Jedi mind tricks are so cool. People believe everything I say. Especially Rea. She is a weak minded fool."

I bursted into the room ready to attack.

"Excuse me! What did you do? Don't you dare lie to me?"

Ben looked shocked that I heard him but he quickly made it disappear. He smirked at me.

"Well look who it is. Leila. I suggest you don't tell Rea about this or I guarantee you will pay." Ben said.

"Why would you do this? She loves you!" I yelled.

"Any Jedi knows not to fall in love. She knows that. You out of all people should know that. How would you feel if I messed with...hmm...let's see...Han Solo. How would you feel then?" He said with a laugh.

"You wouldn't dare." I said with fire in my eyes. My voice was stern. I could tell he was a little frightened but he held it back.

"Watch me" Ben said and then he walked out of the room.

Ever since then I tried to convince Rea to break up with Ben but she never listened. When I called Anakin he said he would come as soon as he could.

Later when Anakin arrived I led him to where Rea was.

"Rea someone is here to see you." I said in a soft tone. No answer.

"He wants to talk. You might be glad to see him because he can tell you the story I needed to tell you."

She opened the door and gasped. Anakin stood there silently waiting for Rea to move.

"What is he doing here?" She said.

"I called him here to talk to you. He had to tell you something. It's good don't worry." I said.

Then Rea did something unexpected. She ran over and half jumped half hugged Anakin.

The old Rea might be back after all.
