17. Saving Ben

"Oh my stars!" I heard from behind me. I spun around quick and held up my blaster aiming at whoever was there. It was Rea and Han. They had followed me.

"What is wrong with you to?" I asked a little angry.

"I had to make sure you were okay." Han told me. "Rea followed me.

"Okay well just stay behind me." I told them.

We walked closer so we could hear what they were saying. All we could heard was something about more troops and training them. Then closer to the end of the speech we heard something about a laser that was going to blow up a planet. Not just any planet. Me and Han's planet. Corellia. My home. Han's home. We couldn't let this happen. We had to save Ben so this didn't happen.

"Let's try and get in." I whispered to Han and Rea.

They followed me and we walked through a series of tunnels. Finally we made it to a door that was labeled "Jedi In Command". It must be Ben's room. I told them to hold up their weapons. We were armed.

I had my lightsaber in hand and so did Rea. Han held his blaster.

"You know you can always trust a blaster more than you can a lightsaber." Han said with a smirk.

"That's why I never leave without it." I said as I pulled up my jacket to reveal where I held my blaster.

Han laughed and we opened the door. Ben was sitting on his bed. He had been crying.

"Ben." I heard Rea say.

"Go away. Stay away." Ben said in a cold voice.

"Look at me." Rea said.

Ben turned and his eyes were yellow. I deep yellow. They looked evil. This wasn't the real Ben. That's when I noticed the chip behind is ear. This must be controlling him or something.

"Rea move." I said.

She moved out of the way and I slowly walked toward Ben.

"Ben listen. Dig deep inside of you. This isn't you. You know it. My the you that loves Rea. You married her for a reason. Think Ben. Find your true self." I said calmly.

Then he charged. He ran towards me. His lightsaber was ignited. I ignited mine and I charged back. I finally hit him on the head with a flying object that knocked him out.

"Leila! What did you do!" Rea screamed. She had been watching the whole time. She was crying. I hadn't noticed.

I payed no attention to her and I ran towards Ben. I had to cut the chip from behind his ear. After a while I finally got it loose and Ben woke up. I stepped away cautiously. I held my hand out signaling Rea to not move.

"Rea." Ben said with a weak voice.

Ben was back he was okay. I told Rea it was okay to go to him. She basically tackled him. They hugged for a while. Then they kissed. It wad pretty awkward just standing there. Then Han walked over and scooped me up. I kissed him.

We walked back to the Falcon and Han, Rea, and Ben went to take a nap. I stayed in the cockpit. I wasn't tired. We were all back together.
