There once was a thief
Mischievous but reckless
He lived beside a cliff
Alone and wifelessHe steals during day and night
Yet he can't be caught at all
He's not invisible, he can't even fight
He can only pass through wallsHe robbed both buildings and homes
And kept his treasure under his house
For years and years of affliction
He finally decided to find a spouse"A woman with might and delight."
The thief wishfully uttered
"Shall I seek and love with all my life."
The thief wholeheartedly assuredA small old building, he once tried to rob
Careless and drunk, he wasn't aware
A secret workshop of weapons for mobs
His daydream became a nightmareHe fell on the hot smoking furnace
When he passed through a wall to escape
He survived but not his poor old face
His wife left him because of the scrapesPeople around him were disgusted
To see a person whose face was busted
With familiar isolation and heartache
His life turned gray and ravagedThere once was a thief,
Mischievous and reckless,
He jumped off a cliff,
Deformed and lifeless.©PeculiarPat34
