The Confident Cumulus

As I sat on the clean and green grass,
A cloud above me was passing by;
I was quite mesmerized until dusk,
Shapeless it was, but it seems to sigh.

As the moon arose above the starless sky,
The cloud sank down on the weedy ground;
It began to shift into a lovely girl! Oh, my!
But on her blurry face, she wore a frown.

As the girl unknown approached,
Something unusual I suddenly noticed;
Her clean white feet wasn't touching the earth,
Made me speechless as the cold wind hissed.

I asked, "Where are you from?"
She said, "I'm always watching you from afar."
She smiled so warm like the sun,
Yet her eyes were glistening like the stars.

"I'm not permanently a cloud,
I'm like you but I prefer that form;
I won't hurt you." She vowed.
But then, there it comes—a violent storm.

"Don't worry, I can deal with cumulonimbus,
But it's been terribly inconvenient.
Even though I'm just a cumulus."
And I guessed she's so obedient.

She spoke so fearless,
So confident, so sophisticated;
Who doesn't need any SOS,
And can handle things easily instead.

I readied myself for the phenomenon,
In case, everything turns intense,
She stayed and flew in human form,
But the storm prepared for her to torment.

"Oh my!" I gasped to witness,
When the huge bad storm engulfed her,
I had nowhere to go—it's a dead end,
God! Don't let me suffer!
