The Other Mother

Close your eyes,
Open your heart,
Feel my love,
Please fear not.

Half of me,
Half of you,
A lovely whole,
The perfect two.

A coat of shame,
Forced to wear,
Dear my love,
Oh, I don't care.

Buttons for eyes,
Needles for fingers,
Different, but for me,
You're no stranger.

Anything you want,
Everything you need,
I'll follow and give,
Even my heart bleeds.

Whatever they say,
Cursed or not,
Whatever they do,
I'll give my love.

My life won't matter,
Without you inside,
I'll never stop trying,
'Til you'll be my bride.

All will be well,
With you by my side,
Full of happiness,
With our beautiful prize.

Hi Peculiars/Normals! I'm sorry for the long hiatus. Been busy this summer. 🌞

This is about the Other Mother in both the movie and book of Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Since the Other Mother died (I hope so) I figured to dedicate her a poem although this time, the narrator is the Other Husband of the Other Mother. Get what I mean? Hahaha. Good day to y'all! #StayPeculiar
