"Oh, if it isn't you again!"
You turned your head, thinking that someone was talking to you. But instead of seeing someone behind you, you saw the most popular guy in school, Julian, standing with his arms crossed and staring at a boy you didn't recognize. This boy had black hair that was dyed pink at the top. He appeared to be around five foot ten and half-Korean. His brown eyes stared fearfully at Julian, who was much taller than him and had way more muscle than he did. This didn't surprise you because Julian was six foot seven and went to the gym everyday after school in order to achieve the muscular figure that he had.
"You're wearing that stupid flower crown again! How many times do I have to tell you that you look like a complete dumbass whenever you do that?!" At that moment, Julian knocked all of the boy's books down on the floor and threw his flower crown down the hallway. He laughed and everyone else laughed as well as the bell rang. They were all still laughing as they started to head to class.
Everyone had laughed and just left.
Everyone except for you.
"Here, do you want me to help?" You went over to where the boy was already starting to pick up all of his books and helped him get them all back into his arms. You looked around for the flower crown and once you spotted it, you hurried over to where it was and grabbed it.
"I think this belongs to you." You smiled a bit as you placed the flower crown back on the boy's head. He smiled brightly once you did so and placed his books down on the ground. He then started entering a combination into what you assumed was his locker. After he had unlocked the locker, he grabbed something that was sitting just above his backpack. He then turned towards you and you saw what he had grabbed.
It was a dry erase board.
Using his foot, the boy closed his locker behind him as he wrote on his dry erase board with a dark purple dry erase marker.
Thank you for helping me.
"No problem." You paused for a moment. "Hey, are you like mute or something?"
Yeah...
"Oh, okay."
I know it's weird. You don't have to tell me.
"No, it's not weird." You reassured him. "It's completely fine if you're mute. It just makes you different from everyone else."
I don't like being different from everyone else. I want to be like Julian.
"No you don't, trust me."
But everyone thinks Julian is cool.
"Well, everyone's wrong." You told the boy. "Julian thinks he's better than everyone else when he isn't. All he cares about is himself. He's somehow managed to convince everyone that he's some super awesome jock."
Julian likes to pick on me a lot.
"That's not right. He shouldn't pick on anyone."
Yeah, I suppose so.
"What's your name?"
Mark.
"I'll remember that. My name's (Y/N)."
That's a pretty name.
"Thank you." You couldn't help but smile.
"What are you two doing out here?! You need to get to class!"
You jumped when you heard the principal yelling.
"Yikes. I gotta go Mark. Hopefully I'll see you around!" You gave him a small wave before you headed off to class.
Little did you know, the pink haired boy had written, I won't see you again after a little time has passed. You're going to be just like the rest of them and leave me once you get to know to me.
