30: "It gets better"

(Y/N) POV

I sobbed as I began to get the suicidal thoughts again. I hated feeling this way but it's who I am.... and no one can change that. I got up from my bed and got my shoes on. I grabbed my bag and left the house to go to my special place. 

I managed to get to the top of the hill and walked to the edge of the cliff. I looked down at the waves crashing against the rocks below. I gulped and stepped back. I sat down a few feet away from the edge. I sighed as I took a picture out from my bag. I looked at it and it was of all my family. I sighed, "I'll miss you but... do you really even care?" I said putting it back in my bag. I put my suicide note in my bag so people will find it and know who I am. I took my phone out and played my favorite song... for the last time. 

By the end of the song I was in tears. I wiped them away then turned my phone off. I stood up and sighed. "Here goes nothing... I'm actually about to do it this time" I whispered as I walked to the edge. The wind began to pick up making my hair blow in the wind. I clenched my fists looking down. I was about to step off when a voice distracted me...

"Don't do it... please" it said. I stepped back and turned around to be met with a young male around my age. He was tall with blonde short hair and the most amazing blue eyes. "G-go away... you can't stop me" I stuttered. "No I can't but maybe I can talk you out of it?" he suggested. "You can try but I know you'll fail" I mumbled. "Well my name is Simon... I am 23 years old and make YouTube videos with my best friends. I love to play football and videos games. I am a people person and an animal lover. What about you? What's your name?" Simon spoke. I looked at him, "(Y/N)... that's my name" I said. "That's a lovely name. How old are you (Y/N)?" Simon asked. "21" I answered. "Do you like animals?" he asked. I nodded, "Yeah... I do" I said. "What about your family? Do you love them?" Simon asked. I sobbed, "Yeah... I do love them Simon" I sobbed. "I'm sure if they saw you now they would want you in their arms... warm and safe" Simon spoke slowly walking towards me. "They probably would... but I don't think so" I mumbled. "I can't see that being the case, (Y/N)" Simon said. "Why are you here anyway!?" I asked in annoyance. "I could ask you the same thing" Simon spoke. "I just hate my life right now... everything seems to go okay and then the next it's gone. I just wish things went well for once. I just wish I could be accepted" I sighed stepping right on the edge of the cliff. "(Y/N) please, listen to me. I want you so slowly walk backwards into my arms... you can't jump" Simon said with a worried tone. "But I want to..." I sobbed looking down. "No you don't... you can do so much with your life. You're only 21 and it gets better!" Simon said. I bit my lip and clenched my fists, "I can't do anything without someone..." I whispered. "Maybe we can do things together like go to concerts, see the latest movie in the cinema... maybe even have a fancy meal out - my treat" Simon spoke. I nodded, "Okay... I-I won't jump" I said. "Okay, come on over to me then" Simon spoke. I was about to turn around but slipped. I screamed and held onto the ledge of the cliff. "(Y/N)!!!!!" Simon shouted holding my arms tightly. "SIMON!!! HELP ME!!" I screamed. Simon held me tightly and pulled me up. I sighed as I landed on his chest. I held him tight and cried. "Shhh, it's okay. I'm here" Simon whispered as he stroked my back soothingly. 

"Thank you Simon... for saving my life" I whispered looking down at him. "Don't mention it. Now, let's get you back home safely" he said and we left. Maybe I have a future with this guy... I hope so.
