Won't Let You Go (Jai Waetford)~

Roller Coaster

The world seemed to stop turning, the air seemed to go cold and unbreathable and nothing seemed to be living inside me anymore.

Trent pulled me I or his chest but left his arms loose around me so I could pull away if need be. His warmth disgusted me in a way knowing that we're were still living and this wasn't a dream at all.

"He... he'll be alright though?" I stuttered at last

"Well Bee as long as his hear doesn't drop out" Alana whimpered

"He can't die" I demanded with a shaky voice

No one said anything Alana's face was sullen and red with the tears. Trent pulled me in closer and kissed the top of my head. I dug my check into him and leant on him wanting to cry but trying to stay strong.

"Beaunka he'll be okay" Trent whispered into my hair

I nodded slowly trying to believe his words.

"Mrs Waetford?" A lady asked about three hours later

Alana stood up and nodded her head after wiping her eyes quickly. The nurse stepped into the room and walked up to Alana.

Trent tightened his grip around my waist as I went to stand up I sunk back down into his lap and put my head on his chest, his lips were just in front of my forehead and he leant in and gave them a soft kiss then turned his attention back to the nurse looking between Alana, Trent and I.

"So you Jai's mother?" The nurse clarified

Alana nodded weakly and managed a small smile.

"And you are?" the nurse asked now turning to Trent and I

"I'm Trent, Jai's best friend" Trent introduced

"And you miss?"

"I'm Jai's..." I trailed off,

"She's Jai's girlfriend" Alana finished

The nurse raised her eyebrows at Trent and I squished into the one arm chair

"Oh she's my sister" Trent lugged easily

"Okay well Jai is now breathing again" the nurse breathed

A small sob erupted from Alana's mouth.

"Yes he is fine, he will still be watched throughly as it was very close" the nurse explained "we thought we almost lost him"

"He will be returning to the room tonight and we are hoping he will be awake in the next couple of days" the nurse continued "we have given him fluids that the doc is almost certain should make him wake up tonight but he won't have a lot of energy to stay awake for ages maybe only for a couple of minutes"

"What about his head?" Alana asked shakily

"Well they are still expecting brain damage, yes" the nurse nodded

"What about his arm?" Alana asked again

"Well his broken arm should be all good, will return to normal the cast is expecting to come off in about three weeks"

Alana nodded her head and the nurse walked out of the room. I stood up and hugged Alana tightly. The tears were not falling this time. I was relieved, Jai won't die.

"He's coming in about ten minutes" the nurse said as she popped he head in the door

"Thank you" Alana smiled, a genuine smile

I was sitting back in Trent's lap his head was tilted to the side resting on mine. His head wrapped right against my stomach.

Before she stepped out of the room her eyes set upon Trent and I again. I sat up quickly and Trent unwrapped his arms. I started to blush like crazy as she walked out the room. Trent pulled me in again.
