"Morning" I smiled as I walked into the hospital

Jai smiled weakly then looked back towards Alana who was talking to him.

Jai finally woke up a day after his heart monitor dropped. He still can't talk a lot and is only awake maybe two hours tops a day. Trent and I were always around the hospital but we walk around the food court and to the mall just down the street. Alana was always in the room unless we told her to go and have a sleep.

"Oh Jai your awake" Trent smiled as he walked into the room and handed out the drinks he bought

Jai nodded his head then watched Trent and I closely as his hand slipped into mine and kissed the top of my head and whispered a 'good morning'. The warmth of Trent's hand was undeniably great. Jai's eyes were glaring at our hands I blushed quickly then slipped my hand out of Trent's slowly the cold air hitting me quickly immediately wanting Trent's warmth.

Trent looked at me with a confused look and I just shrugged my shoulders then walked over to the bed and went to start a conversation with Jai when a nurse came in.

"Well my favourite patients awake" the nurse winked "I heard you were and thought i'd pop in and check on ya"

"Morning Lily" Alana greeted

"Morning" Jai smiled

I mumbled a quite hello but she wouldn't have cared much. Trent was sitting in the arm chair again so I went and sat on his knee, listening to what the nurse was saying.

"Well your cast will be coming off in a week or so, the bones in your arm have healed exceptionally well but seeing as you haven't been doing anything" she laughed easily at her small joke

"Ah the bandage on your head will be off when the doctor comes in the next couple of days when he checks you over and hopefully that gash on our forehead will be all good" she said reading off her notes "the black eye is almost gone now just the bruises all over your face and body will disappear when they are ready"

"Thank you Lily" he murmured

"Okay I just need to ask a few questions"

"Okay shoot" he said with a yawn

"What's your name?" she asked

"Jai Ethan Waetford"

"Age?"

"Fourteen"

"What town do you live in?"

"Campbeltown"

"Good job the doctor will be in in the next couple of days"

Alana thanked her as she left the room. I leant back onto Trent again and his arms sat across my stomach. His breath was right next to my ear which was soothing.

"So how's school been?" Jai asked looking at Trent and I

"Well er we haven't actually been to school since your er" I trailed off

"What about your education?" he asked stunned

"Your more important then school right now" I stuttered wondering weather I said the right thing

"You should go back" he said in a yawn

"Not until your better"

"I am fine!"

"As soon as your ready to leave I'll go back as well Jai okay?" I demanded

He nodded his head and dropped it back onto the pillow and closed his eyes.
