Just Sleepwalking

Just Sleepwalking? Hey, so it's  Saturday the  23rd January 1994! NEW YEAR YHEAA!!! Anyway we started school again 4 days ago and I'm really happy. However ever since Fred and George gave harry the Marauders Map a couple of weeks ago, harry has become really distant from me and I don't know why, Hermione and Ron do but they wont tell me and I'm getting quite worried. I am going to find out, I mean we still hang out but he seems as if he doesn't want to be near me. But at the moment it's around 1 o'clock and me, Hermione, Ron and harry are on our way to Hagrid to find out about the trial with Buckbeak. I hope Hagrid doesn't get sacked.

" How did the trial go Hagrid " Hermione asked once we found him, he was by the black lake throwing rocks gently into  the water. 

" Firstly the comity members took turns on talking about why we where there. Then I got up out my seat and told them how Buckbeak was a good hippogriff, he always cleaned his feathers. and then Lucius Malfoy got up and said how Buckbeak was dangerous and deadly creature who would kill you as soon as he look at yo'. And then he asked for the worst of it all. " Hagrid spoke with no smile on his like he normally would

" Not to sack you?" Ron asked looking down with a sad face

" Oh no, not that. But Buckbeak's been sentenced to death " Hagrid said choking out tears, I let out a small gasp in shock and in horror of how Lucius could do that. I looked at Hermione, her expression matching mine. We sat there for an hour or two trying to comfort Hagrid until he stopped crying and then we quietly left to the others. The rest of the day was quite boring we mostly talked but everyone was been strange, not themselves. More quieter than usual. once it got late around 11 everyone decided to go to bed, getting to sleep was hard and well, I didn't get to sleep. It was about 1 in the morning when I gave up on trying to get to sleep, instead I went downstairs and sat on the sofa. I was sat there for around ten minutes until I heard footsteps coming down the boys stairs.

" Who's there?" I asked looking up at the stairs.

" Bethany?" They asked, I knew that voice and I knew who it was. 

"Harry what are you doing down hear it's like half one in the morning " I said looking at him

"I could ask you the same question" he said, smart lad.

" Couldn't sleep, you?"

" Well actually, I was going on a little adventure." Harry said showing me the map and walking towards the door

"Well I'm coming too, I'm not letting you walk around the school corridors in the middle of the night do you? Now come on" I said pulling harry out the door. Harry followed the map to where ever it was going but walking round the school at night was quite spooky. At least harry was here, who was now standing still looking around for something.

" Put that light out" A painting said making me scream, Harry quickly put his hand over my mouth to shut me up, he looked back down at the map.

"Mischief Managed. Nox" He said turning the light on his wand off, seconds later the light was back on but it wasn't Harry's wand, it was Snape's.

" Potter, Black " He said pointing his wand at Harry then me " What are you doing wandering the corridors at night?" Snape asked

" I was sleep walking " Harry said, Snape looked at me

" I was making sure he didn't get hurt when he... um sleep walked? " I said more as a questioned, pulling a weird face

" Extraordinarily, both very like your fathers. Both exceedingly arrogant, strutting about the castle." Snape said

" My dad didn't strut " Harry said proudly " And nor do I or Bethany or her dad, Now could you please lower your wand " He lowered his wand down next to Harry's pockets  where the map was.

" Turn out your pockets " Harry did so taking out the map " What is that?" Snape questioned

" Spare bit of parchment, isn't it?" Harry looked at me, I nodded

" Revile your secrets" Snape pointed his wand at the map making everything pop up. gosh I got to learn that spell. " Read it " He said, Harry handed it to me.

" Messrs' Moony, Wormtail,, Patfoot and Prongs offer their compliments to Professor Snape and.. " I sniggered reading the next part " And request he keep his large nose out of other people's business " I said feeling like a boss

" Why you little-"

" Professor " Remus said stepping out from the darkness.

" My, my Lupin. Out for a little stroll in the moonlight are we? " Snape questioned Remus, I shot daggers at the back of his head with my eyes

" Harry, Bethany, are you alright? " Remus asked, eyes locked with Snape's

" I have just confiscated a rather curious artefact off Mr Potter here, take a look. It's in your area of expertise. " Snape said

" Just look at it are you serious, it looks like a Zonko's product, if anyone tries to read it, it will simply insult them, come along children " Remus said tome and Harry. We walked off leaving Snape standing there alone. HA! " Come in, now I don't have any idea how you got this map and I am astounded that you would even wonder the castle alone at night. " Remus nearly shouted

" But he wasn't alone, I was there. What's so bad about wandering the castles at night ?" I asked slightly annoyed

" Sirius black is on the lose, if he got this map it would lead him straight to the both of you now. Goodnight Harry, I want a word with Bethany alone " Remus said pointing to the door. Once harry left, I spoke again

" What does my dad have to do with Harry? " I questioned my Uncle

" You will find out later in life now go back, I'm too annoyed to talk to you." Remus said and that really tipped me off

"BUT I WANT TO KNOW NOW" I shouted probably waking up the whole castle.

" Go " he whispered, I left the room and banged the door shut making sure he got the message that I was angry. I had to walk back to the common room with no light because I forgot my wand and now I change my mind, the castle in spooky it's bloody scary!!!
