"I can't believe Adam would do something like that," Hailie says while brushing her wet hair from the shower she just took. "He's taking this too far."

I ran back to the room after being smacked down yet again from a soccer ball and I told Hailie everything that happened and what was written on the ball. There's no doubt in my mind it's Adam. I mean, hitting me with a soccer ball seems to be his favorite form of getting my attention.

"Yeah, he definitely crossed a line tonight," I reply.

Adam and I obviously don't have the best relationship. Sure, we've gotten in fights before, but this is just different. Yes, we've threatened each other before, but I've never felt truly afraid of Adam.

Until now.

"He's probably just bluffing," Hailie says nonchalantly. "But still, this is not cool and he better stop before I stop him."

"Yeah, you're probably right. He wouldn't do anything."

"So are you going to tell Cameron?" Haile asks, the curiosity evident in her voice.

"I hadn't really thought about it," I tell her honestly.

"I mean, that's kind of what you do in relationships. Plus, I bet Cameron would go into protective boyfriend mode and that is a show I definitely want to see," Hailie comments, making me roll my eyes.

"We'll see."

I decide to take a quick shower before going to bed in hopes that it'll wash away all the horrible events from today.

As I lay in bed, I can't stop the tears that glisten my eyes. Sometimes, I really hate my relationship with my brother and really wish that things could be different. But we both know that it can't be. Too much has happened between us. And sometimes, "I'm sorry" isn't good enough.

Like most weeks, I find myself in the library doing an obnoxious amount of work. Don't professors understand that we have other classes besides the one they teach?

Hailie has been buzzing around all week about how excited she is for our Halloween costumes. I'm not someone who typically gets excited over Halloween, but Hailie's excitement can be contagious sometimes and I find myself getting excited to get dressed up this weekend.

Cameron has been trying to figure out my costume all week. He's been texting me his guessing, or should I say his hopeful wishes, about what my costume is.

His guesses include:

A sexy kitten

The devil

A bad cop

Friday evening, Hailie and I start to get ready for the party. We both put on our costumes and start on our makeup. Hailie makes our makeup look bold and daring. She curls my hair and frames it around my face. I hardly recognize myself in the mirror. I look like a completely different person. My tan skin is practically glowing and my eyes look so dramatic and mysterious.

"I can't wait to see Cameron's reaction when he sees you," Hailie gushes while grabbing our props for our costumes. "Ready to go?"

We told Cameron, Eric and Dan that would meet them at the party because we were running late. The party is about a ten-minute walk from where Hailie and I live, but we're so cold that we make it there in five.

Similar to last time, we can hear and feel the bass vibrations from the music of the party. Drunk college students in costumes litter the hallway of the dorm. Some of the costumes I see while walking to the door include barbies, firemen, cats, solo cups, different kinds of candy and victoria secret angels.
