I couldn't believe I had just caused so much death. I grabbed my carbine and the rocket bazoka. The first thing was to round up the rest of my squad. I found Ack Ack with a navy corpsman tending his wounds. I asked him were grinder was. He pointed to the tank. I ran back out there and told him were Ack Ack was. He ran off and after he ran toward the sea wall the medic said what about me. I said I don't care what you do. He said please don't leave me please. I responded with ok I will bring you with me. So I picked him up.
I got to the shore and wasn't sure were Simmons, Grinder, or Ack Ack were at. So I ran to a group of soldiers. I asked them why we hadn't secured the beach yet. They said in this mess? You think we can secure when the Krouts have it held so tightly. Then I asked them were to go they said stay here or run to the cliff. I decided to run to the cliff. A Sargent with no left arm stoped me and told me to find a weapon then help him to the wall. I ran to a dead guy with a M1 and 5 clips of ammo. Then me and Sargent headed toward the wall. When we got there I was filled with relief.
5 days later.
Our squad was having to put itself back together. They gave us a corpsman. He said his name was Sid. Then we went back to our tent.
