Now, I know what you're thinking,"Oh Ack Ack R and R is great. Well not over here. Our version is sitting in a hole. In the rain. While German artillery try's to kill us. Ha ha so fun right, no it isn't. I would rather be back in the village with Grinder, Sid, and Simmons. Instead me and Ballence are here in rain and mud and death. How could this get this worst? Snipers, that's how.
Unlike Ack Ack I am happy to be here. Finally we get to see Johnson. I almost forgot he existed. Ah it was nice to be away from the carnage of war. The shelling is terrible though. Yesterday it hit one tents beside us and killed everyone inside. The mud is always in on our clothes and it's awful. Each day  a new unit arrives each day. Then an older unit moved out to replace them.
  Finally we got our orders. We were moving out. Ballence was bieng his normal self and over preparing. Finally the jeep arrived. We headed back for the village. When we got there we kept driving. All I saw there was dead bodies everywhere. There was about 30 men there. We passed a cinvoy of trucks heading for the frontlines. Which is when I realized that we're going. Once we passed that convoy we passed another one. It was different. It was heading Backwards. All of the men looked tired and worn. And there were ambulances in the convoy to. Then we arrived.
When we got there me and Ack Ack looked on in horrer. There were dead Germans and Americans all around. There were medics buzzing around everywhere. Among them was Sid. He saw us and came over to us and said Simmons and Grinder were over there. Then he ran back to helping the wounded. The shells of tanks were everywhere to. On our way we saw a medic tending to a man with one arm and no legs. I could not help it I threw up. Then we got there and got our orders. Surpriseingly Simmons and Grinder weren't there.
