Jade bursted out in full blown laughter when the word 'kid' came out fo his mouth. She stood up straight and wiped the tears from the corner of her eye.
"You can't be serious. You're joking right?" He hadn't cracked a smile and just stood there looking at the time on his gold rolex.
"I don't have time for jokes, I'm serious, I have a 2 year old son. His name is Mason."
Jade pulled the robe closer to her body as a breeze went by. 'Time to go' She said to herself, she can't stand out in the open like this.
"You're raising a baby in a trap house?" His eyes became darker as he stepped closer to her.
"Shut the fuck up and let me talk!" Her mouth was suddenly glued shut. Now she had pushed his buttons and gone too far.
She nodded and looked at the ground when the anger started radiating off of him.
Once he saw the frown on her red lips, he picked up her head with his finger.
"Look at me when I'm talking. Now as I was saying, I have a son and no I don't raise him in a trap house. His mother just decided she didn't want to raise him and just wanted my money so she walked out on us. I'm busy alot so I need someone to take care of him. I'll even pay you an extra 500 dollars every week." She ran her tongue across her dry bottom lip and thought about the offer.
"All week?"
"Just whenever I need your help. I'm not a person who knows how to take care of a person and if I ever need you you're right there to help me."
This was a great opportunity for her. All she had to do was take care of his kid and she would get paid.
"Okay. On one condition" He already knew what was coming.
"Make that 600 dollars" She pulled her car door open and got in the front seat.
"What the hell? Why more money"
She smiled and buckled her seat belt before starting the car, "I wasn't lying when I said I didn't come cheap. You can make that 600 dollars easily. I know you don't sell cheap either so if I'm going to be working for you I don't want to get the same amount as your sellers. I don't roll like that" pulled out a card from his back pocket and reached into her car for a pen.
"Just come to this address tomorrow morning at 9. Don't be late, I have places to be and you have some more information to give me" He walked away from her car, nothing else said and got in the back of a black SUV.
Jade looked over the card again and when she read the address she realized that the zip code was on the far side of town with the gated communities.
"Guess this won't be so bad after all"
