I sighed and shook my hands trying to shake off my nerves. I’m a professional actress but yet I’m scared to even go onto the House set, c’mon Amanda get with it! You’ve done bigger things then a little TV show drama I thought to myself as I slowly walked onto the set of the famous show House MD. I put a smile on, and serge of excitement zipped through me, I’ve always been a huge fan of the show House and dreamed on guest starring and finally here I am. I walked around looking at the sets, recognizing them from the show; I saw a few of the stars talking casually amongst themselves near the confession stand, but when I walked in front of them they stared wide eyes. I thought they were told that I was coming?
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Hugh Laurie (House) watch me and have this smile on his face I blushed and hid it so he wouldn’t see. That’s mainly why I’m nervous… I have a little celebrity crush on him and when I heard I’d be playing one of his clinic patients I could feel the butterflies’ swarm in my stomach. I bumped into somebody since I was walking around thinking to myself (I tend to do this a lot, I’m rather oblivious) “sorry” I said giving a nervous chuckle, it turns out the person I bumped into was the producer of House (and the same guy who asked me to guest star), David Shore.
“It’s alright” he grinned not looking at me but instead was dusting himself off then looked up and saw me “oh Amanda you’ve arrived! It’s really a pleasure to meet you, big fan! Big fan!” he said rather loud grabbing my hand and shaking it, I gave a smile trying to hold back a giggle, I’m used to fans and other celebrities doing this not directors/producers I guess he’s star struck. “So have you received the script?” he asked making small talk as we walked around, I nodded showing him the script I’ve received, “good, good. Any questions?” he asked smiling cheesy, “uh yes. So basically House hits on my character Abbie?” I asked, he chuckled “yes he does, but it’s not going to be a one night thing you’ll come back and reappear in other episodes as the Season progresses” “so this won’t be the last time I’ll be on the House set” he grinned “nope, I hope you all get along” then he leaned in and whispered so nobody else would hear “oh, and don’t let Hugh imitate you. You’re both wonderful actors” he winked and grinned, I smiled and chuckled “I won’t.” Out of the corner of my eye I saw Hugh watching us intensely.
“Hugh!” David called, Hugh snapped out of it and walked over to us already in his House outfit and carrying his cane. “Yes?” he asked in his amazing thick British accent glancing at me out of the corner of his eye. “Please show Ms. Kennedy around” he smiled gesturing to me, I gave Hugh a smile he smirked at me “alright then” he grinned as David walked off beaming.
“Well hello Ms. Amanda, I’m Hugh Laurie or as I’m mostly known as Gregory House” he said facing me, taking my hand and kissing it while looking at me, I grinned and blushed lightly. “Hello Sir Hugh, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m only known for being in movies” I chuckled dryly, he smiled at me “well that’s better then being known as the jackass cripple” he said as we started to walk around. “I suppose you’re right” I grinned at him, he grinned back.
“Have you seen House before?” he asked looking at me as he walked with his cane. “Are you kidding me? It’s my favorite show, besides Scrubs of course” I smirked at him, “oh really know?” he smirked back, then he suddenly pinned me against the wall “and might I ask who is you’re favorite character” he smirked at me leaning in close, although House is my personal favorite I decided to screw with him “that’s easy… it’s Dr. Robert Chase” he was leaning in the whole time so his lips were rather close to mine but once I said that he pulled away embarrassed “really? Why?” he asked, still pinning me. “His accent, his hair it’s dreamy” I smirked. He seemed shocked, I pinched his cheek and leaned in close “I’m kidding” I whispered as I walked past him, he stood there for a second before catching up.
