"Kian stop." I was back at my house with Kian.
He thought he was being really cute, trying to kiss my neck.
"Come on." He attempted again.
"Kian." I said stiffly.
"What's wrong?" He ran his fingers along my arm.
"I just...I'm confused. I have someone from my past back again." Kian probably knows who it is already.
"It's Michael isn't it." He pulled away from me.
"And you still have feelings for him." His eyes met mine and filled with water.
"I'm sorry. I just can't let him go. He was my first love, ya know?"
He played with my hair for a minute.
"Kian, I still like you. It's not like I'm ending this. I still have strong feelings for you." He smiled, but there was still melancholy in his eyes.
"Maybe I was wrong." He said, standing up from his spot on the couch.
"About what?"
"That we will work out. Maybe we were just meant to be friends." Now my eyes filled with tears.
"Kian don't. You said we could make this work!"
"You still love him, Carrie. And he's back in your life. I don't wanna be your second choice. You've been distant ever since he texted you and I can't help but feel that I'm becoming the next best thing. I can't be with someone who thinks that about me."
"How could you say that-" he slammed my front door.
"Kian!" I cried.
I feel like all we do is fight. I hate to admit it, but he might just be right time. Maybe we aren't meant to be together. But we barely even gave it a try.
My phone buzzed. Michael was calling me and Kian was pulling out of the driveway. I looked from the window to the screen. Who do I choose?
I sat down and breathed heavily. I pulled my knees to my chest and dialed the number I didn't even know I still knew.
Lia's.
It went to voicemail.
"I need someone. Please call me." Lia is probably my oldest friend.
I've known her since I was three. Longer than I've known Kian. We got into a huge fight when we were twelve and never talked again. She ditched my for the dumb "populars".
Kristina was probably on a date with JC and Gianna was out if town, so I couldn't call them.
Kian was the only other friend I had right now, but he caused this.
Lia just popped into my mind. A few minutes later she called back.
"What happened Car?"
"It's a really long story."
"I got time." I let out a sigh of relief and told her everything, including my address.
She was here within five minutes. She burst through the front door and found me on the floor.
She hugged me and we talked about everything we missed over the last six years.
"I'm a professional model now."
"What?!" She nodded excitedly.
"I don't even have a job. I've been caught up in all this drama I haven't even thought of that stuff."
She rubbed my back.
"It's fine. You still have time. You're just 18." We talked for a while longer.
I woke up the next day and immediately called Kristina to fill her in on everything.
"Carrie, I think the choice is obvious. But, my opinion doesn't matter. You need to decide yourself."
I nodded, even though she could not see me.
"Thanks but I gotta go. Bye."
"Bye!" I hung up. I sighed and wondered if I should call Kian or Michael.
I thought about it for a few moments and decided what I needed to do.
I called Michael having a plan in mind.
