"Cormac... I never expected that it was you... my date... You are my date." She said.

"Yes, I am your date. " He replied politely.

"Well, I'll leave you two now." Ginny said

She never expected Cormac to be his date. Really, she didn't saw that coming. They have never seen in other since they graduated in Hogwarts.

"Let's go now, shall we?"

"Yes. "

"Draco! You're here! Do you like my dress?"

"Yes Astoria, I like your dress. " he replied

" Let's go now." She said and dragged him outside.

After the talk with Hermione, he realised that she had a point  he decided to ask Astoria Greengrass, who automatically accepted his invitation. 

"Draco, were here! It's so beautiful."

It was indeed beautiful. Hogwarts has been decorated just like what it was in the yule ball.

"Let's find our friends." She said excitedly.

"Hey 'mione!" Harry called.

"Hey."

"Where's your date?"

"I managed to escape him."

"Just like old times?"

"Just like old times." She answered.

"He is walking towards here. Go!" Harry warned her.

She ran outside through the black lake and saw someone there.

"Draco?" She called.

"Hmmmm?"

"Why are you here? The party is inside."

"Well, my date is so annoying."

"You have a date?" She asked clearly surprised.

"Yes"

"So why are you not with her?"

"Well, she flirts with every man she meets and it annoys me so much."

"Why did you even asked her?"

"Well, after you told me that going alone is too controversial because everyone will be going together, I figured out that you were right."

"I didn't mean to sound like that but thank you."

"What for?"

"For understanding me." She replied.

It was true. Only a few people ever understood her. And Draco was one of them.

"Well, I believe you have a date?" He asked.

"Yes." She replied sadly.

"Well, who is it?"

"Cormac Mclaggen." She answered.

"Oh. When did he ask you?"

"Well, he didn't. He just went to my house this morning. I reckon Ginny was behind all this when she saw me crying."

"Wait. You cried?"

"Uhm... yeah. A bit. Last night."

"Well, you shouldn't be crying." He replied

"Why?"

"I don't know. I don't want you to cry, that's all."

He then leaned slowly towards her until their faces are only an inch apart.

"Hermione! Are you there? You need to render a speech inside!" someone shouted from a distance.

"Um. I need to go." She said.

"I can't believeit! I nearly kissed Draco freaking Malfoy!
I have a husband!" She thought as she run back to the castle.
