●Zinnia's POV●
Once I arrived at his house, I couldn't help but look at it in awe. Zach's house is definitely bigger than mine.
The guard must have been notified about my arrival hence his action to open the gates and give me a short wave. I smiled at him and drove up the driveway and parked next to Zach's car.
I cut the engine and got out of the car heading towards the front door. My nerves were in a frenzy. I was just sincerely hoping that I don't mess this up. Everyone is well aware of the fact that I tend to voice my thoughts unknowingly, start rambling when I'm nervous or be straightforward. I am not one to beat around the bush when talking (most of the time that is).
"Be confident Zi. Remember what you decided that day at the beach. Be confident. You want him to confess his feelings first.'
I was just about to ring the doorbell when the door swung open to reveal Zach standing there staring at me intensely. "Beautiful." He muttered.
"What?" I must have heard it wrongly. And I'm guessing he realized his mistake when he pretended to cough and covered up his blush.
Okay? Well then. "Hey! I hope I didn't take too long." I smiled up at him.
"Nah. You're just in time. Laraene is like a hyper bunny bouncing off the walls in excitement to meet you. Although I'm not quite sure why." He replied scratching the back of his neck in confusion at his sisters excitement.
I plastered a bright smile on my face and walked in behind him as he led the way to where his sister is. The minute I saw her, my heart melted.
She has the same eyes as Zach does. That makes me wonder whether Zach's mother or father has that eye colour.
She had blondish brown natural curls that framed her face. Rosy cheeks and full pinks lips with a few freckles that adorned her face. All in all, she looked adorable.
Her eyes shined of innocence and happiness. Looking into her eyes, it will make you want to shield her from the harshness of the world.
And by the look in Zach's eyes, I knew that I was right. He looked at her as though she is the most important thing in the world to him. That made me fall for him even more. And I couldn't help it.
The minute Laraene saw me, she bounded over to me and hugged my legs tight. I smiled and crouched down to her level.
"Hello princess. Zach told me your name is Laraene. It's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl such as yourself."
She smiled and hid her face behind her tiny hands and muttered a 'thank you'. I laughed at her cuteness and patted her head affectionately.
"Can i call you Angel pwease? You look like one. Mommy tells me stowies of angels in heaven and how beautiful they are. Did it hurt? When you fell from up there to come here for me?"
I started laughing because she unknowingly sort of used a pick up line. She is Zach's sister alright. I controlled my laughter as much as i could because Zach doubled over laughing too.
"No princess. I came for you so it didn't hurt. Not one bit. Besides you are an angel too so I just had to be friends with you. We are the cool people you know. Your brother isn't cool like us." I smirked at him and he quickly sobered up.
