***Still a flashback***

Zinnia's POV●

People say that they hate Mondays and have Monday blues. They wish Mondays never existed. Although I do wish the same thing, it makes no sense.

Think about it. If Mondays never existed, Tuesdays would be the first working day of the week. Then we would eventually have Tuesday blues and wish it never existed. The cycle goes on and on.

So, instead of hating the day, let's just roll with it. "Ugh, I despise Mondays. I wish it never existed." I groaned.

Wait. I think I just contradicted my mini speech about hating Mondays didn't I? 'I'm such a hypocrite!' I mentally groaned.

'Are you informing me or reminding me? Because I already know you are. *files nonexistent nails*'

'Well good morning to you too lovely brain.'

After wrestling with my blanket and bedsheets to let me go, I slugged towards the bathroom to take a shower. It didn't take me long to do my morning routine.

Once I came out of the shower, I walked in to my walk-in closet to pick something to wear today for school. Due to my laziness, I decided on a plain light brown dress that came just above my knees. I paired it with a pair of brown boots.

I decided to leave my hair to its natural state (I could care less really). After applying eyeliner and some lip gloss, I walked down to the kitchen to have breakfast.

Mom and dad would be leaving tomorrow for almost a month as they have an important case coming up. That thought put me in a glum mood.

Walking in and putting a smile on my face, I greeted my family. "Good morning peeps!" I kissed mom and dad on the cheek and got myself a cup of coffee to drink. I wasn't really in the mood to eat I don't know why.

I quickly finished drinking the coffee and headed up to my room to gather my stuff. Right on cue, my phone started ringing.

Furrowing my eyebrows in confusion, I walked to where my phone was. I swiped to answer it without bothering to check who the caller was.

"Ello? Who that?" I asked. (The spelling mistakes are on purpose)

"Get ready in 5 minutes. I'm coming to pick you up so we can go to school together. Bye!" The caller hung up.

Okay then. I shrugged and got my stuff ready. I informed Colton that I would be going with a friend to school today. He nodded his head and kissed my forehead.

I walked out of the gate of my house just as the car pulled up. I immediately got in the car and settled in the passenger seat.

"Good morning love. Slept well?" Zach smiled at me. Charming.

"Good morning sparkly! Yes I did. Did you?" I turned my body to face him.

He chuckled. "Yeah. I finally got some sleep after you texted saying that you were home."
