***End of flashback***

Zinnia's POV●

Today is the day that Jess and her son are finally back in town. I am really excited to meet up with her and catch up on what I've missed in the past few weeks that she wasn't in town. As I have said before her son is 27 years old.

His name is Braden. He is really close to my children since they practically grew up together. I was brought out of my thoughts by somebody hugging me from behind. "Guess who?" Asked the person hugging me.

"Oh dear. Oh, I don't know. Maybe an evil witch who is out to get me. Help." I replied back sarcastically knowing full well it is Jess. Braden chuckles at us and both of us couldn't help but chuckle along with him.

I turned around and hugged her. "I missed you so much Jess. Although you only went for about a week or so." She rolls her eyes at me. "I'm just that awesome sweetheart. What can I say." She smirks and twirls around a little.

Braden catches hold of her. "Alright mom. You are not a spring chicken anymore. You're old now." Jess smacked him on the head.

"I am not a spring chicken. In fact, I'm an all season chicken. And I am definitely not OLD." She puts emphasis on the word 'old'. Let's just say Jess is going through mid life crisis.

"Yeah babe. you're young as ever. Don't listen to Braden." I coaxed her. Braden simply smiled and shook his head at us.

"So are you just going to stand there or are you going to give your favourite god mother a big bear hug." I said looking towards her son with my arms spread wide. He smiled with a twinkle in his eye and walked over towards me to give me a hug.

I kissed him on his forehead and ushered them both to sit down on the couch opposite of me. "So how is your mom?" I asked Jess. " She is as fit as a fiddle. Don't worry about her. She sends her love to all of you." I chuckled.

"I haven't seen her in awhile. One of these days I will drive down to see her for sure." I got up and walked towards the kitchen to carry the drinks and snacks out to the living room with the help of one of our maids that we just hired.

Her name is Elaine. I thanked her and sat back down on the chair I was sitting on previously, to resume our conversation.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have been chatting for a while when I finally remembered a question I've been meaning to ask. "Hey Jess, how is Jake? I haven't heard from him for about a month now. He used to send occasional letters every month about his latest adventures and all. Has he contacted you?" I looked at her curiously.

Jess and Braden shared a look. We don't exactly talk about Jake that much. It is kind of a sore topic. Jess got married to Jake shortly after Zach and I got married to each other. They were so in love.

Since they were so focused on their careers, they held out on having a child. But after a few months of me being pregnant with my third child, Avianna, she got pregnant as well.

We were all overjoyed as we always wanted to have at least one pregnancy together. You know the usual teenage best friends dream. Yeah, we had that dream when we were in high school.

I don't remember much of the last few days or so of my pregnancy. Nor do I remember the first month and a half after giving birth. I was told by my doctor that I had a difficult pregnancy and I was under stress because of it so my mind just shut down.
