***Still a flashback***

●Zinnia's POV●

I was busy lazying around in my room when Colton walked in. I looked up at him in confusion. He is more of the scream-your-name-at-the-top-of-his-lungs-from-the-other-end-of-the-house type of person rather than the walking-in-the-room-in-a-civilized-manner-without-breaking-the-door-down type of person.

"What have I done to be graced by your presence this fine afternoon dear brother of mine?" I questioned.

He rolled his eyes at my choice of words. Fair enough. "I came here to ask whether would you like to hang out with me today? Sibling bonding time you know." He asked me with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"We have been hanging out often during this summer especially if I'm not with Jess, Jake or Zach. But I wouldn't mind letting you hang out with me and my awesomeness. Where do you wanna go?" I got up from my bed and tied my hair in a ponytail making sure I looked decent.

"Let's go to the park. And I know you just went there yesterday with your best friends, but I feel like going there to relax." He replied looking at my mirror fixing himself and running his hand through his hair.

"Sure. Let me just wear my shoes and grab my phone. I will meet you downstairs." I went to grab my shoes and started wearing it. Colton nodded and went to wear his shoes as well. Once I was done, I walked down with Colton right behind me.

"Boo!" He flailed his hands around, trying to scare me.

"Ooooo I'm scared. Just give me a minute to go up and change since I wet myself." I pretended to shake as though I were scared. He chuckled and pushed me lightly.

"Killjoy." He muttered.

"Ass." I retorted.

"A sexy one!" He turned back and winked at me.

I scrunched my nose in disgust. "I can't believe girls fall for you. You are full of yourself." I shook my head at him. We were already walking down the path to the park.

He slung his arm around my shoulder. "Oh come on Zia, you love me."

"Unfortunately, I do. And I will never understand why you love calling me Zia instead of Zi. You are the only one who does." I said looking at him.

"Yeah that's because I'm special and I deserve to have a special nickname for you. I used to call you that even when you were young. If I called you anything other than Zia, you wouldn't reply at all. You would stand there with your back faced to me, arms crossed with an adorable pout. Anytime I would ask you to come to me, you would shake your head, your pigtails swinging left and right. When I call you by the nickname Zia, then only would you come running to me. You were so cute back then! Now, nah you aren't." He smirked and I pouted.

"I'm always cute." I looked up at him making sure I looked as innocent as possible. He pinched my cheeks in response and kissed my forehead. I smiled at that.

Soon, we reached the park. We sat under a tree since it was pretty sunny. There were so many children running around and screaming. I smiled at the scene in front of me. I missed being a kid. I missed running around like a headless chicken without a care in the world.

"Remember the time we played hide and seek here and you hid near the slide and would shriek every time you got caught first? No matter how many times I told you to hide somewhere proper so you wouldn't get caught first, you would still hide at the same place." Colton said chuckling at the memory.

I chuckled. "Not the best place to hide. I must admit. I was pretty stubborn back then."

He laughed and shook his head. "Yeah, you did lots of dumb things back then. You still are stubborn though. You haven't changed one bit. Oh! Remember the time you wore mom's lacy pink bra on your head and hooked the straps behind your ears? You called it your magical hat. You would run around the house with it on your head in excitement. You even did that in front of mom and dad's friends. Mom turned red like a tomato and everyone else laughed hysterically. You even asked one of the uncles if you looked like a princess." Colton doubled over in laughter, no doubt replaying that memory in his head.

I looked at him in horror. "Hey! I was young back then! And not mature. I thought it was a cool thing." Colton looked amusingly at me defending myself.

We were both silent for a few moments before bursting out in laughter at that memory. I leaned my head on his shoulder. That is how we spent the rest of the day till sunset. Laughing at the crazy and stupid things we did when we were young.

Let's just say that we had lots of entertainment, us being the source of it. Those were good times.

Did I mention the time Colton thought that he was a duck? He wagged his butt in the air and started quacking. He even went as far as jumping in the bath tub filled with water pretending that it was a lake. Yeah, he had quite the imagination.

Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed it! This is pretty much a filler chapter. I wanted to add a memory of the siblings spending some time together. Please excuse any mistakes you find in the chapter.

You know the drill! :)

Until next time! :)
