It's uncontrollable. The shaking, shivering, chattering of teeth. The sharp intake of breath and the rapid thudding of petrefied hearts, that threaten to jump out of chests.
Before everything is suddenly quiet. Not a whisper or noise. Ever. Nothing moves. Frozen in time, as still as statues. The grey gloom always following close behind. Shrouding everything in utter darkness.
