***~Enjolras' POV~***

We all just looked at each other in silence, no one said a word. The silence wasn't broken until Gavroche went running toward her with a smile on his face. As soon as she saw him running at her a smile broke out across her face, just as large as his, and she picked him up in her arms. I cracked a smile myself when I saw a small grimace on her face at Gavroche's weight but she quickly recovered her smile. Her perfect white teeth shining on all of us through her pink lips.

"What are you doing here?" Gavroche asked her as she walked over toward us with him still in her arms.

"I decided I wanted a break from my posh life," she grinned at Courfeyrac and I. At her words I was surprised at guilt that washed through me. I hadn't expected her to hear my words. Wait, why did I care if she did? She nothing but a stranger to us!

"Won't your father wonder where his little princess ran off to?" Courfeyrac mocked her as he took another pull of the beer. His words only made her laugh but I could see a hint of fear in her eyes at the mention of her father.

"He's too busy to even notice my absence," she sounded confident as she set Gavroche back on the ground but he kept his hand in hers. "So this is where you live?"

"Indeed," I nodded as she glanced around us with a smile still on her lips. For the first time I noticed her hair and saw that it was as dark as night and was pulled up in a bun.

"It's quaint," she caught my eye for a second before looking away, I could have sworn I saw her cheeks turn pink but just as quickly as it'd appeared, it was gone.

"I don't believe you ever got acquainted with my friend," I gestured at the others. "This is Courfeyrac and this is Marius."

"It's pleasure to meet you." She nodded at them before releasing Gavroche's hand and walking past us and toward one of the doors. Right away I was following her with the others a bit slower behind me. She climbed the stairs that led up to our meeting room and I couldn't help but tense a little bit.

"Stop her!" Courfeyrac hissed at me but it was already too late. We reached the top of the stairs to see her looking around at everything. There were guns on the tables and a partial red flag on a seat with the needle still attached to it. Her eyes were wide as she took it all in.

"So there really is a rebellion?" she looked at us.

"Sorry to upset you." Courfeyrac rolled his eyes as he walked past me and collected the guns before putting them in the closet in the back of the room. "Your lifestyle comes at a price that we're no longer willing to suffer through."

"Why would I be upset?" she ran her hand along the flag before looking at him with a smile. "It's about time people got what was right. No one deserves what Gavroche got today."

"Who are you exactly?" Marius narrowed his eyes at her which only made her chuckle.

"A girl wishing for change." She right looked at me with a gleam in her eyes.

"What are you thinking about?" Marie surprised me later as she walked into my small room. I was surprised to see that Gavroche wasn't at her side. He'd been stuck to her since her arrival which hadn't pleased Courfeyrac one bit.

"It's getting late." I blew her question off as I stood up and watched as she walked over and sat on the edge if my bed. "You should head home before your father worries."

"Why does it seem that Gavroche is the only one who enjoys my presence here?" She raised one of her dark brows at me.

"It's time for you to go." I shook my head as a look of hurt crossed her face. I didn't want to be rude to her but I knew she had to go, if she didn't then her father would come looking for her which could put my friends in danger.

"Mousier, I'm sorry for whatever I did to offend you." She stood back up and headed toward the door but stopped with her back still to me. "I do hope your plans work at, this world does need change."

I wanted to do nothing more than apologize to her for hurting her feelings but I knew that wasn't an option. Courfeyrac was right. She was one of them and needed to leave before harm came to us.
