I avoided that bastard for a few more days after that.
I stayed in my-a room, and watched the collection Hungary gave me.
I only went out for suppers, but never even looked at him.
He gave me space, surprisingly, and let me be.

If I was this-a way with Feli, he wouldn't stop-a bothering me!
So, I wasn't used to him being so...quiet, as-a well.
Usually, I would-a expect that he would bother me when I-a want to be alone, due to his-a base of character, but he didn't do anything.
It definitely surprised me.

So, I decided to-a stop avoiding him.
I had no idea why, even to-a this day, so don't question me on this.
I went over to him one day, and I-a had a full conversation with him.
It went-a like this.

"...Hello bastard.." I muttered.

Spain looked up, surprised.

"Lovi!" He said happily.

I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah yeah yeah, don't-a get too happy. I just-a came to see what you were doing..." I muttered, still wondering why I-a even came.

"Oh! Well! I'm just working on some papers for my country! How are you?" He asked as he sorted through some more papers, before setting them down on his desk and turning over to me.

I merely grimaced.

"...I'm fine bastard.." I said as I looked down.

"Lovi? Is something wrong?" He asked, while I heard worry in his voice.

"No." I said angrily and left.
~
See?! A full conversation!
Is that good enough?
Well...I'm sure it-a is for my standards.
Life got a little better after that, much-a easier.

I then resolved on more of a speaking term with Sp- the tomato bastard.
I-a spoke with him daily, even if it was only a one word answer to a question, or a sentence in the mornings.

It wasn't until later when I learned that-a he wouldn't talk as much as he-a used to.
Now he was only talking to me once a day as well, which even made me more confused and-a angry.
~
One day, when-a I was eating a tomato out in the garden, he came up to me rather...worriedly.
He spoke in a small manor, for once.

"Lovi?" He asked quietly, which-a was so unlike him.

"What." I asked, a little annoyed.

Spain gulped in some air, and sat down beside me.

"Lovi.....there's something I-a need to tell you..." He whispered.

I looked over at-a him, in surprise.

"Yeah?"

"W-Well....Lovi..." He started as he refused to meet my eyes.

"There-a has been some trouble with my country....Turkey is wanting custody of you on exchange for wealth.." He said quietly.

I dropped my tomato in shock.

"What the hell?! What did-a you say?!" I asked, beginning to panic.

He shook his head.

"I-a told him to go chew on-a Greece's butt, since he's already too accustomed to that-a already." He said with a sly smirk before clearing his throat.

"I just-a needed you to know..." He muttered before getting up and leaving.

I watched him go in shock, but with surprising new respect for him.
I quickly shoved it away of-a course.

Yet...something kept-a tugging on the back of my mind.

If he had a chance to get rid of me...
Why hadn't he?
