After waving goodbye and having new-found respect for the two, I traveled back to Feli's house and went up the steps, before knocking on the door.

The door opened and Feli peeked around the corner of it, before he launched himself at me and hugged me tightly.

"~VE! Big-a brother! You're-a back!" He said enthusiastically.

I smiled a bit and pushed him off gently this time.

"Yeah. Yeah I-a am." I said easily.

"Where were you?" He asked as he pulled me inside and shut the door.

"I'm-a not going to lie, I was-a at Hungary's and Austria's." I admitted sheepishly.

He stopped dead in his tracks. He turned around nervously and coughed awkwardly.

"R-Really? Weird-a! W-What were you doing there?" He asked as he took a step away from me.

I sighed and straight up told him why and what I knew when going there. Minus the Spain thing of-a course.

After I was-a finished, his lips trembled and he let out a loud cry. He ran towards me and engulfed me in a huge bear hug.

"I'M-A SO SORRY BIG BROTHER!" He cried out as he buried his head in my chest.

I let myself smile and patted his head anyways.

"It's-a fine now. Really! I'm-a alright about it Feliciano." I said honestly.

He sniffled a bit and looked up at-a me with opened eyes.

"R-Really Fratello?" He asked.

"Really." I-a murmured.

He let out a sigh of relief before squeezing me just as-a hard. He let go and happily spun around.

"Ve~! This is-a fantastic! I'll-a make pasta to celebrate!" He announced before speeding off to the kitchen, leaving me with a bemused look.

I sat on the couch and waited, letting my mind ponder the possibilities of just living here with Feli instead of going back to that tomato bastard.

He was a tomato bastard after all! And I-a let my stupido guard down again. This day is just-a not my day, and for the fact I-a almost let myself believe that he cared about me was-a definitely laughable. It was-a so funny, I couldn't even smile!

As the days turned into a solid week, there were numerous phone calls from the ass. He kept asking for me to come home, but I-a refused to answer and had Feli do it for me. He would-a always say that I-a was busy, or I-a was at the supermarket, or helping Feli with his paperwork.

It was-a annoying and heartbreaking every time he called.

Yet, approximately fifteen days since
I-a left, Feliciano was-a gone because it was-a his turn for getting groceries. There was another phone call.

I was-a scared to even hear his voice again, and I-a didn't want to go through with this.

I shakily picks up the phone and held it to my ear.

"C-Ciao!" I murmured.

"Feli? Is-a Romano there? I need to talk to him-"

"It's Romano, bastard." I muttered.

"L-Lovi?? Lovi!" He said excitedly.

I took the phone away from my ear and fought back the-a tears.

"What do you-a want." I asked angrily.

"Oh! Oh Lovi I-a want you to come home!"

"Not happening." I said fiercely.

"Wait what? Lovi-"

"STOP CALLING ME THAT! It's Romano! R-O-M-A-N-O. And for another thing, stop calling me! I'm not going back to a place where I-a was never wanted!" I yelled and slammed the phone down on the receiver.

I-a stood there for a moment, processing what I had just done. I shook my head furiously and turned around and headed from the living room.

I stormed down the hallway to my bedroom before shutting the door loudly. I grabbed one of my suitcases and furiously tossed my clothes around.

"Where is-a it!" I asked myself repeatedly before I finally found it.

I looked down at the-a flag Spain gave me on my-birthday many years ago. I always took it to Feli's in case I was-a missing home.

I grabbed it and closed my eyes before ripping it apart, the red and green shreds fell around me as I collapsed on the floor and broke down in-a flood of tears.

~

When I came to, I had-a realized I cried myself to sleep. I wiped away the crusts that formed at my eyes as I looked around, my eyes widening at the mess I made before. I let out a strangled moan as I picked up the pieces, looking around for any more. I let new tears fall before I set the pieces gently on my bed, and covering my face with my-a hands. I moaned like a sick animal into them, shaking a few times.

I took the cloth bits and set them on my dresser, piecing everything back together, but I-a noticed one very important part was missing. I checked each-a crevice, each nook and cranny around the room, but I-a couldn't find the one that actually had wording on it.

"To: South Italy, From: Spain!"

I couldn't really grasp what I-a done, because when I-a finally did, I realized I just destroyed the only flag left of South Italy that had-a existed, as well as the only thing that kept me believing I was in love.
