Chapter 16: Christmas Prank

*takes place Christmas Eve at the Matthews apartment during their Christmas party*
Maya: *setting the table with Josh* Boing when are we going to start the prank?
Josh: *smirks* at dinner we'll say we have an announcement and then it's show time. Ready for this ferret?
Maya: *winks* always Boing. I'm always ready.
Topanga: dinner time! *smiles* thank you for setting the table guys.
Josh: *waits until everyone is seated at the table and then stands up with Maya* everyone! We have an announcement!
Riley: oh my gosh! Is your someday here? Are you officially together? *smiles greatly*
Cory and Shawn: NO! No getting official until she's 18! *crosses their arms and looks angry*
Topanga and Katy: you two stop! If they're together now be happy for them *smiles knowingly [they're in on the prank as well as Riley and Josh's parents]
Maya: will you guys let us talk? I'm pregnant *smiles trying not to laugh*
Cory and Shawn: YOU GOT HER PREGNANT! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! *immediately gets up and runs to Josh*
Josh: *runs across the room while screaming* will you let me explain?!
Shawn: what's there to explain?! I trusted you with my stepdaughter and you get her pregnant! I'm going to kill you! *runs faster*
Cory: Josh what were you thinking?! I defended you two to Shawn numerous times! I know she's your Topanga but you swore you'd wait! *gets angry*
Maya: *fake cries* please guys don't hurt him! My twins need their daddy!
Shawn: twins? At 16?! Josh I'm really going to kill you! You two can't take care of twins! *shoves Josh against the wall and raises his fist to punch him*
Josh: *sees anger in Shawn's eyes* please don't hit me! Maya help me!
Maya: Shawn don't hit him. I'm not really pregnant. It's a prank *moves Shawn away from Josh so Josh can get away from the wall*
Cory: this was a prank? What the hell?! You guys really worried us *laughs* I should've known my little brother wouldn't get someone pregnant at his age.
Shawn: you two are freaking insane! Cory we are going to have our hands full with these two! Two pranksters together *shakes his head* and let me guess: Topanga and Katy were in on it?
Joshaya: everyone was except for you two *laughs*
Shawn: you got us good. But I swear you get my baby girl pregnant and I will kill you.
Josh: what if we're married? *smiles*
Maya: you think about that boing? *smiles*
Josh: *hugs Maya* why wouldn't I ferret? You're my Topanga. We love each other and I know we're waiting for someday but I know in my heart I want you to be my wife *smiles*
Shawn: fine if you two are married then I won't kill you *rolls his eyes* now can we exchange presents?
Maya: ooh yes let's! I want Josh to open his from me first *hands Josh a wrapped box*
Josh: *smiles and opens the box* Maya Penelope this is an amazing watch! Thank you gorgeous *kisses her cheek*

Maya: *smiles* I'm glad you like it Josh. Don't think I didn't notice you said my middle name *narrows her eyes at him* I'll get you back for that.
Josh: *puts his new watch on* I love this watch Maya *smiles* are you ready for your gift?
Maya: you didn't have to get me anything *smiles*
Josh: *hands her a wrapped box* yes I did. You're my ferret. Merry Christmas!
Maya: *opens her gift and smiles* I love it Josh! Thank you *hugs him* you didn't have to get me this beautiful charm bracelet. [Josh will explain the charms he put on it]

Josh: of course I had to. The minute I saw this bracelet I knew it was for you. Did you see the charms I picked? *helps her put it on*
Maya: I did but I want you to tell me why you picked them *smiles and hugs him*
Josh: sure gorgeous. The M is for Maya. The paint brush is for your love for art. The two girls holding hands stand for you and Riley. The heart is for love. The fireplace is for the ski lodge where I told you how I feel. The tree is for the treehouse that hold a lot of memories for us. The Christmas tree is for the Christmases we spent together. The boy and girl holding hands is me and you. And lastly the ferret stands for my nickname for you. There's a few spots left for more charms that I'll give you for certain occasions *smiles*
Maya: I can't believe you found a ferret charm *laughs*
Josh: that was one I had to have custom made *chuckles* but it was worth it.
Maya: it's beautiful Josh. Thank you *kisses his cheek*
Riley: you guys are cute together. I know I wasn't the biggest fan of Joshaya in the beginning but now I can see that you two were made for each other. Peaches I think you'll be my aunt one day *laughs*
Maya: *smiles* maybe so but you don't have to call me Aunt Maya. Actually don't ever call me Aunt Maya *laughs*
Josh: *smiles at Maya and sends her a text*
Maya: *hears her phone beep and sees it's a text from Josh* I'm right next to you Josh *rolls her eyes*
Josh: just open it *smiles*
Maya: *opens the text that says "come to my apartment tonight after every goes to sleep. Jasmine and Andrew will be there"* okay.
Josh: *smiles and hugs her* you're gorgeous ferret. I love you.
Maya: *looks up at him* I love you too Boing *smiles*
