CHAPTER 8

2 WEEKS LATER (the day before Vanessa leaves for Los Angeles)
VANESSA'S POV
It is Thursday afternoon after school and I'm just laying on my bed being a bum when my phone rings.
PHONE CONVERSATION
SHAWN: "Hey babe"
VANESSA: "Hey what's up"
SHAWN: "I have some bad news.."
VANESSA:"oh no what"
SHAWN: "I can't go with you to Los Angeles"
VANESSA: "Aww why?"
SHAWN: "My manager is flying me out tonight to New York for some meetings about the tour and what not"
SHAWN: "I'm so sorry babe"
VANESSA: "No it's okay I'll just ask someone else to come with me"
SHAWN: "okay babe I gotta go I have to go pack"
VANESSA: "I'll see you Tuesday"
SHAWN: " I'll see you Tuesday bye babe"
VANESSA: "bye"
END OF CONVERSATION
Aww I can't believe he can't come:( but you that's his job and he needs to go. So I decided who I'm going to take with me and I'm getting excited about it because I know I will have a lot of fun. I grabbed my phone and dialed his number.
PHONE CONVERSATION
SAMMY: "Hey Nessa what's up"
VANESSA: "well here's the thing, Shawn can't come with me to Los Angeles anymore and I don't want to go alone and you are my other best option and I know your parents will let you go, so Sammy will you go with me Los Angeles for a couple days?"

SAMMY'S POV
I was on the phone with Vanessa and she asked me if I wanted to go with her to Los Angeles and I sat there for a couple of minutes and thought about it. It would be really fun to spend a couple days in California and spend it with my best friend/ the girl I am falling for.
PHONE CONVERSATION
SAMMY: "I'll go, I need to talk to my parents but I need you here when I ask them so you can explain the whole thing can you come over in like 5 minutes"
VANESSA: "OMG YAY I'll be there"
SAMMY: "okay I'll see you in a few"
VANESSA: "okie dokie"
SAMMY: "bye Vanessa" I said chuckling
VANESSA: "Bye Samuel"
SAMMY: "VANES-"
END OF CONVERSATION
Hey she hung up on me that little stinker. I Rolled off my bed and slipped a t-shirt on and headed downstairs to see my parents hanging out in the living room when the doorbell rang. Man that was quick, oh wait I forgot Vanessa and I only leave two houses down from each other. I went and opened the door. "Hey Samuel" she said giggling and hugging me. "Don't call me that" I whined hugging her back.
"Oh Vanessa your here" my mom said getting up and embracing her in for a hug. My parents have always loved Vanessa especially my mom.
"Hi mommy" she said giggling and then she went and hugged my dad.
"Hi Nessa" my dad said hugging her.
"Hi Dad" she said
"So we heard the amazing news and we are so beyond proud of you" my parents said to her my mom looked like she was going to cry. My mom and Vanessa's mom are best friends and so are Gilinsky's mom, Johnson's mom, Lily's, and Laura's.
"Aw thanks I couldn't have done it without the big support group I have and don't cry" she said bringing my mom in for a hug.
"Okay mom, dad I need to ask you something that's why Vanessa is here so we can ask you guys together." I said to them as we all took a seat in the living room. "Okay what is it" my mom said unsure. So we explained it to her and my dad.
"So how many nights are you staying?" My dad asked
"We are leaving at 5:00am tomorrow morning and then leaving Monday late afternoon" Vanessa said smiling. "Okay you can go Sammy " my parents said and Vanessa stood up and cheered. "YAY I'm so happy thank you guys" she said hugging them. "Thanks guys" I said hugging them.
"Okay now your mother and I will call you guys to check up at least twice a day got it" my dad said sternly but still smiling.
"Got dad" I said.
"Okay well I'm going to go pack" I said to them and grabbing Vanessa's hand and going upstairs to my room. Vanessa plopped down on my bed while I went and got my suitcase out and Started to pack. "Is there anything specific I should pack?" I asked Vanessa she looked up from her phone. "Yeah" she said standing up and going over to my closet. She grabbed some button ups, swim trunks, my nice shoes, and my suit? Wait what. "Why do I need a suit?" I asked. " oh yeah forgot to tell you Saturday we are going to a gala that I was invited to " she said smiling. "Oh fun what are you wearing?" I asked. "Hm clothes" she said giggling. "Haha very funny, but really what are you wearing?" I said "I'm wearing a long floral dress with black lace up heels" she said "oh okay cool" I said as I continued to pack.
1 HOUR LATER
I finally finished packing and Vanessa fell asleep on my bed. She was curled up in my blankets all snuggled up. She looks so cute sleeping. I grabbed my phone and sat next to her on the bed while I was going on my phone. 10 minutes have gone by and my stomach started to grumble and make weird noises. Geez I'm hungry. I looked down at Vanessa and Decided to wake up so we can get food because I'm so freaking hungry right now. I shook her a little "Vanessa wake up" "Vanessa wake up I want to go eat Im starving" I whine
"Okay okay I'm up" she said sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Dang it I forgot I had mascara on, did I mess it up?" She asked
"No Vanessa your fine there is nothing on your face" I said to her examining her face and making sure there was none. "Are you sure Sammy?" She asked. "Yes I'm sure" I said to her getting up and going to my bathroom to fix my hair. "So where do you want to go dinner " I asked while fixing my hair.
"Hmm let's go to Shake Shack" she said coming into the bathroom as well trying see the mirror to fix her hair. "Hey move missy your in my way get your own mirror" I said playfully booty bumping her. "No I need to look presentable Sammy" she said giggling booty bumping me back. I chuckled giving up and letting her see the mirror. "Thanks Sammy Wammy" she said finishing up her hair and walking back into my room and slipping on her burgundy high top converse on. (Her outfit below)
