CHAPTER 13

A MONTH LATER

JACK G'S POV
I'm at my house setting everything up for tonight because I'm going to be asking Lily to prom and let me tell you I'm nervous. So let me catch you up on what happened this past month. Lily got out of the hospital and she's doing so much better, for two weeks she was in a wheel chair now she is using crutches and her hand is out of the cast and now it just has a brace on.  Vanessa has been busy with her modeling and we couldn't be more proud of her and her and Sammy are freaking goals. We have a little under a month until prom our last prom and I'm honestly excited because I get to share it with Lily the girl I love. So I'm in my back yard with Vanessa, Johnson, and Sammy setting up my little romantic picnic I had for her and then I was going to ask her with the cake I made for her that spelled out prom? on it that Vanessa helped me make. Laura is out picking Lily up and distracting her until I was ready for her to bring her. We just finished setting it up and I texted Laura.
TEXT: "Laura bring her now we are ready"
"Okie Dokie on our way"
Once I read that text I was nervous I don't know why though, it's just Lily is my best friend that I have known for forever and she is the girl I love. "Jack she's here" Nessa said breaking me out of my thoughts. My eyes widened and went to the front door and Sammy, Johnson, and Vanessa wished me good luck and ran to the back gate to leave. I opened the door to see Lily smiling at me and standing there with her crutches. "Hey are you ready for our date?" I asked pecking her lips and helping her inside. "Yea what do you have planned?" She asked sitting down on my couch taking a breath. "Well I thought we could stay in today and have a nice picnic outside since it's nice out" I said to her helping her up. " yea that sounds great" she said following me outside. "Oh my god" she gasped. She looked around in awe the sun was setting and the little lights that we hung along the trees and along my treehouse and under my treehouse were lit and the picnic was set up with a huge blanket with all her and I's favorite foods and snacks that we both love equally. We walked to the blanket and I helped her sit down and helped her elevate her leg with a pillow I brought out for her. "Jack I love this" she said smiling brightly and admiring the lights that hang above us. We begin eating and just having a good time until she wanted dessert. I grabbed the cake and placed it in front of her. "Jack this looks deli- oh my gosh" Lily said covering her mouth in surprise. "So Lily will you go to prom with me?" I asked looking into her eyes and grabbing both of her hands. "Yes of course" she said grabbing both of my cheeks and pulling me into a kiss. We pulled away and rested our foreheads together and starred into each other's eyes. We continued to have our date and just enjoyed each other's company.

VANESSA'S POV

Well we left G's house so him and Lily can have their date. Now Laura, JJ, Sammy, and I are going to go eat since all of us are starving. We arrived at Salad Paradise restaurant and walked inside to find a nice looking lady at the podium. "Hi welcome to Salad Paradise for how many?" She asked sweetly. "Hi for four please" I said kindly. She grabbed four menus and signaled us to follow her to where the table is. Sammy and I took a seat next to each other and then Laura and JJ were on the other side of the table. "Okay so what can I get you guys to drink?" The waitress asked. We all ordered water with lemon. Moments later she brought us our water and we ordered our food. We are just having a good time talking. Sammy and I have our hands intertwined and I looked over at him and he smiled at me and squeezed my hand reassuringly. He brings my hand up to his lips and kisses it. He smiles down at me and then returns to his conversation with JJ. I go back to talking to Laura and just gossiping about different things. Our food arrived shortly after (food below).

We talked and ate our food while enjoying each other's company. We finished our meal and paid the bill. "Okay I'll see you guys tomorrow I have to babysit my cousin tonight" Laura said hugging us all. "Okay have fun" I said hugging her tightly and letting go. She walked off to her car and drove off. "Well I'll see you two love birds later I'm meeting up with Jake" JJ said as he hugged us both. Sammy and I made our way to his car and got inside. "Okay what do you want to do now" Sammy asked as he backed out and exited the parking lot. "Hmm can we go home and relax" I said looking a him. "Yea sure babe" he said then placing his hand on my thigh. We arrive at his house and we both got out of the car and made our way inside. We both slipped our shoes off and we made our way upstairs. I entered his room and jumped into his bed. "Haha babe" Sammy said joining me on the bed. He grabbed me by the waist and brought me to his chest. I snuggled into him and wrapped my arms around his torso. "Babe your hair smells so good" Sammy said with his face in my hair. I giggled and snuggled into him more. "Babe you know what I forgot to do" Sammy said as he played with my hair. "What" I said "I didn't ask you to prom yet" he said continuing playing with my hair. "You don't have to ask me babe" I said looking up at him. "Are you sure" he said looking at me with a smile. "Yea I am, I'm so lucky that I get go with you that's enough" I said leaning up and kissing his cheek. We continued to lay there and cuddle while watching Netflix. I am so happy right now. Just a year ago I was depressed and broken I just wasn't happy with my life even though I had everything. I had amazing friends, and a family that loves me.  I just felt worthless, but now here I am happy and blessed to have so many people that love and support me. I was broken out of my thoughts when Sammy's phone started to ring. He sat up and grabbed his phone from his nightstand that is next to his bed. "Hello?"
"Oh hey JJ what's up" "oh umm nothing just laying down with Nessa why?" "What the fuck. What do you mean she's looking for me?" "Bro I thought she moved" Sammy said pulling his hair in frustration my eyebrows furrow together in confusion. Who was he talking about and why is he getting so mad? I stand up and walk over to him, I grabbed his cheeks and turned his head so he was facing me. He looked down at me sighing as his face softened. "I just don't want her to ruin my relationship with Vanessa. You know how crazy she is" he said starring into my eyes. "So she's at Jakes right now with you guys" "okay well thanks bro for letting me know tell me if anything else happens" "okay bro bye" he hangs up and slips his phone back in his pocket. He snaked his arms around my waist and pulls me close. "Who is she?" I whispered as I looked down at my fingers. "It's my ex girlfriend Amber remember her" he said. As he said her name I instantly remembered her. She was a crazy bitch. She would always try and get rid of me and the girls, she thought we were threats to her which we weren't. When Sammy found out she cheated he broke up with her and when he did she went ballistic. I don't know why she was so upset she was the one who cheated. "Babe don't stress its okay she won't hurt me I won't let her" I said to him as I kissed him and rubbed my thumb over his cheek trying to calm him down. "Why do you always say the right things?" He asked as he kissed me again. "I don't know I was gifted with great advice" I said giggling and getting out of his grip. "Hey come back here" he said following me back to the bed. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close once again as we laid there. "Are you sleeping here tonight?" He said kissing my cheek. "Yea if that's okay with you" I said to him. "Of course it is I want you to stay with me all the time" he said as he was placing kisses all of over my face. "Aww I want to stay with you all the time as well" I said as I I got out of his grip and going into his closet to find some pajamas to wear. I went to his drawer to find my black silky pajama shorts. I couldn't find any of my shirts so I grabbed one of his shirts. I changed into the clothes and walked back out to see Sammy on the bed in his pajamas which is just his boxers. I got back into bed and Sammy instantly grabbed my waist and pulled me into him. I snuggled into and nestled my head into the crook of his neck. "Goodnight Nessa" he said kissing me forehead. "Goodnight Sammy" I said and I fell asleep moments after.
