"We stand face-to-face. With our inhuman race. We commit the sins again and our sons and daughters pay. Our tainted history, it's playing on repeat." ~ "Battlefield" by Svrcina

"And you. Are. It."

Abraham.

"Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boys other eye out and feed it to his father, and then we'll start. You can breathe, you can blink, you can cry. Hell, you're all going to be doing that," Negan finished and landed the first blow to Abraham's head. A gasp caught in my throat, choking me as I watched the scene.

"Oh, look at that. Taking it like a champ!" Negan exclaimed in excitement as Abraham straightened back up once more. I couldn't take my eyes away. Warm blood rushed from the wound on his head down his face.

"Suck. My. Nuts," Abraham managed with a small smirk on his face. I wanted to laugh, but the pain was too much. He was dying, yet he wasn't broken. He knew what was coming to him. The second blow startled me, and I whipped my head away, my eyes landing on the dirt in front of me. Blow after blow came. The sounds would forever haunt me.

"Did you hear that? He said 'Suck My Nuts!'" Negan chuckled, throughly enjoying what he had just done. My eyes trailed up to Negan as he turned away from the body and continued to laugh. Something about him... Didn't seem right. He still had a gleam in his eyes. That's when he swiftly turned and landed another couple blows to what was left of Abraham's head. Maggie's cries had me look over to her, then my gaze flicked to Sasha and Rosita. They were suffering... We were all suffering.

"Oh my goodness! Look at this," he shouted, twirling his bat and splattering fresh blood onto Rick's right cheek. "You guys. Look at my dirty girl!" Carl leaned forward more, shielding my eyes from the sight of Lucille and Abraham. I was both grateful and annoyed. Overall, I was in shock.

"Sweetheart..." he trailed off, walking towards Rosita. From what I could see of her, it wasn't good. It didn't look like her mind was there at all. She had paled considerably, and her red eyes stuck out. "Lay your eyes on this." He practically shoved Lucille in her face, begging her to see Abraham's blood, her love's, blood still dripping off. She kept her eyes away, shaking profusely.

"Oh, damn. Were you two... Together? That sucks. But if you were, you should know there was a reason for all this. Red, is, was, and will always be red. He just took one, or six, or seven for the team!" I cringed at the memory once more. "So, take a damn look," he growled at Rosita. "Take a damn look!" That was the last straw for some members. Daryl got up from his hunched, blanketed position on the ground and punched Negan straight in the jaw. My eyes widened, and it felt like everything stopped.

"No!" I screamed, unaware of my own movements. I vaguely felt hands squeeze my arms and shoulders to keep me planted on the ground. Negan's men pulled him to the ground and kept him pinned.

"No! No! Oh, no," Negan yelled after running a hand over his jaw. He stared for a moment, before turning and chuckling. His eyes landed on me briefly, taking in my reaction. I was in frenzy. Nothing mattered but saving Daryl, but I knew I couldn't. "That...Oh. My! That is a no no. The whole thing! Not one bit of that shit flies here!" Negan had knelt down just to the left of Daryl's head. Dwight came in with Daryl's crossbow and just about had the bolt pressed into his Daryl's skull.

"You want me to do it? Right here," Dwight asked, his finger heavy on the trigger. I bit my lip, tasting the metallic tang of the blood that ran over my tongue.
