1. This book will have another one follow it. This is a trilogy.

2. I wrote this during school, often getting caught and not able to include details I would have if I had more than two days for each chapter.

3. Like the first book, I rewatch the episode that goes along with each chapter while writing to makes sure I have all events and dialogue perfect.

4. The hardest chapters to write were the ones I had to improvise (the episodes that weren't featured around the group and solely on Negan).

5. I originally had Thea snapping and officially going crazy, but didn't fully do that.

6. I really wanted to have Thea go to the Sanctuary and have her has one of Negan's wives, but never found the right time or reason for it.

7. I wrote Carl and Thea's sex scene out way back during the first book, but had to completely change it because of how season 8 went, though both drafts had to do with Carl going to the Sanctuary and coming back.

8. Right after Ben's death is where I planned for Thea to snap and go on a rampage, but decided against it.

9. Originally I had planned for Thea and Ben to form a romantic relationship and for him to be the one that took Thea's virginity.

10. I very much wanted to expand Bens character and give him a deep role in the story...but that was cut short when he was killed (I love Ben and still wish he was here if you couldn't tell by the last three facts being about him)

11. If Negan hadn't killed Glenn and the others, Thea would see him as another respectable, almost father like guy. She still may form that bond and connection later on.

12. I know a lot of people weren't happy with me, but I felt it was necessary to include the Carl and Enid kiss. I thought it would be good to further Enid's role in the story and her relationship with Thea.

13. Like I promised, I expanded a little bit on Mikey's character. I felt like he needed to be there to bring a bit of homage during all the fighting and bloodshed.

14. If you didn't pick up on it, this book got its title from Shawn Mendes's song Three Empty Words.

15. This book was not meant to have a happy ending.

16. I was very unsure if I wanted to write up and post the epilogue, but eventually did it to tie up any loose ends and plot holes.

17. You guys finally saw how Rory was killed and bit on what his character is like.I love writing flashback scenes like that so I can write about how innocent Thea was back then and to compare to how much she has changed.

18. Thea and Jadis. I wanted them to be a dynamic duo. I wanted Thea to be almost like Jadis's protege...but then Jadis made that deal with Negan...

19. It wasn't written much, but I have Thea forging a close bond with Shiva

20. Quite a few of these chapters alluded to Carl and Thea's future in the next book. Talking of living through the war and a family. Not spoiling anything, but not everything is as optimistic as Thea hopes.
