"We became violence when we were young and our light. We can't last through the fire. Let things burn to survive. Let things burn to survive. We are damaged, take control." ~ Adrian Lux (Damaged)

Thea's PoV
Carol didn't end up taking me back to Alexandria. She packed a bag and went back to the gate of the Kingdom after my breakdown and Morgan reappearing, saying that he killed Richard. His explanation on why lead me to giving him a hug, one we both needed.
So, I made the long journey back on my own and on foot. When I got there, I was stunned by the amount of noise I was hearing. I didn't even have to knock on the gates, they slid open by themselves. I stood like a deer in headlights when I came face to face with the front of the RV. The driver slammed on the breaks and poked their head out of the window.
"Thea?" It was Rick. I walked closer to the driver's side and craned my neck upwards to better see him. "We were just on our way to pick you up. We have a mission," he informed me. My spirits brightened a bit at the mention of a mission. I needed to let off some steam and aggression, but at the same time, my body didn't have the motivation to continue on anymore. The rumbling sound of a motorcycle's engine made my heart speed up. My head whipped around to see Daryl pulling forward, completely unharmed. Once he saw me, a smile started to form, until it dropped the longer he stared at me.
"Hop on!" he yelled over the loudness of his vehicle. I let out a small breath of relief and climbed on behind him, wrapping my arms around his torso to keep me from falling off. Rick gave a thumbs up and retreated back inside the RV. With that, Daryl took off, leading the party.
The wind ripped through my hair as he drove. The vibrations caused my behind and legs to go numb after the first few minutes. The loud noises made it easier for me to zone out and my mind to wander back through everything that's happened once again. My fists clenched in anger recalling all the deaths, making my grip on Daryl tighter. He grunted and shifted his weight around, but didn't say anything. He probably couldn't even if he wanted to. Whatever my brain was doing to cause me to lose focus and energy, needed to get fixed. I couldn't stop until Negan and the Saviors were dead.

Getting guns was the last step before we would finally embark on the inevitable war with the Saviors. That was exactly what we were doing now. Daryl explained to me that Tara was keeping a group that she met while on her run a bit ago a secret. And they had lots of guns. Now, we just had to have a fool proof plan on getting them, without hurting the people there, upon Tara's request.
The plan that the adults came up with was pretty good. It was slightly dangerous, but good nonetheless. We were currently beside a lake that had to be crossed in order to retrieve some of the explosives we had gathered. Aaron, Rick, Michonne, Tobin, Erik, and Gabriel took on that task...Also only six people could fit inside the small row boat. I stood on a bank, arms crossed and watching them paddle out. Behind me, I could hear Carl and Enid shuffling about.
"Do you ever think about who you killed?" Enid asked. A long pause followed her question. I rolled my eyes and turned around.
"Not anymore," I growled bitterly and stalked past the two of them, looking for Daryl and Jesus. When we all stopped and put our plan in motion, Carl was more than excited to see me back early and safe, but I wasn't. I didn't say a single word to him. He knew something was wrong, but hasn't approached me yet. Although I was a little disappointed that he hadn't tried, I was also relieved that I didn't have to bring up Ben again so soon.
