"The other night dear, as I lay sleeping. I dreamed I held you in my arms. But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken. So I hung my head and I cried. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."

Thea's PoV

After my dream last night, I was completely restless. I couldn't stop pacing around the Hilltop as my mind wandered to what could've possibly happened to Carl. The thing was, I had nothing to keep my mind busy here. I needed to leave. It shouldn't be a problem now. Maggie had basically taken over this place, so I just needed to talk to her.

"Maggie?" I asked loudly, standing outside her trailer. A few seconds later the door swung open revealing Enid. I quickly brushed past her, not sparing her a second look. I found Maggie sitting at a table in the middle of the room.

"What do you need, Thea?" she asked tenderly.

"I-I need to leave. No one needs my help here. I need to go back home," I rushed out. I bounced on the balls of my feet, my body very jittery and unnerved. I hated feeling like this. Maggie gave me a weird look, watching me for a moment. During the silence, Enid pulled out a chair and sat next to Maggie. I wanted to glare at her, but I just didn't have the energy for those kind of petty things.

"You shouldn't go by yourself. You don't have a weapon either..." she started. I rolled my eyes unintentionally.

"I don't have a gun. I don't have a gun, because Negan stole all of them. He also has my boyfriend held captive or dead. The only thing that's going to stop me from storming the Sanctuary is if I have something to do. I don't have a place here. I need to go back to Alexandria." Maggie sighed, and Enid shook her head silently. "I have a knife. That's all I need." Maggie leaned back in the chair, folding her hands across her stomach.

"Be careful. Go as quick as you can. When you see Rick, tell him what I've done here. Tell him about Carl. It may be the motivation he needs," she advised. I nodded quickly, rushing over to give her a quick hug, before exiting the trailer. I passed Sasha on the way to the gates. My feet stuttered, wanting to veer off course and talk to her, but my mind was set on leaving this instant.

The men on gate duty let me pass through when they got a closer look at me. They knew who I was. I had killed one of their own not too long ago. They were probably happy to let me though. Probably counted on me dying out there all alone. I gave them a wave and started jogging down the long path. I wanted to get home as fast as possible.

Third Person's PoV

"Are all those women actually your-"

"Wives? Yeah. Always wanted to screw a whole bunch of different women. I mean, why settle for just one? Why follow the same old rules? Why not make life better? Speaking of... sit. Let's get started."

"Started on what?"

"I want to get to know you a little better, Carl."

"Why?"

"Work it out. You're smart. In fact, I'm gonna tell you just how smart you are, in case you don't already know. See, I'd expect a kid your age to be moping around, not doing a damn thing, except crying about missing the prom. But you... you go on a mission. You find me, you kill two of my men, and you're smart enough to know, that I'm not gonna let this slide. You're smart enough to know not to bring your girlfriend, which is really quite a shame."
